//Before I begin, I want to say thanks to everyone who stuck around and waited patiently for this. It was unbelievably hard waiting for season 6 and then mapping out the rest of this fic. I know some people didn't like the season but I actually really enjoyed it. That being said, with this fic I won't follow the last two seasons as strictly as I followed the other seasons. I thought it would be a better plot with Kate involved if I diverted away from canon. Also, a historical note that sort of bugged me. Charles Solomon (No S at the end) was a Boston gangster but wasn't related to Alfie Solomons (who was a real British gangster). Two different last names, what's interesting is they were both Jewish and it appears they were both Russian. Charles was killed in the Cotton Club by two people who supposedly didn't have ties to gang activity. But, to continue the canon, I'll keep Charles as Alfie's uncle as it is a fun concept. I just wish they had used him as a character because he was a really interesting guy.

It was late by the time Tommy returned to Arrow House. Most of the lights were off and it was nearly silent. With a heavy sigh, he slipped off his coat and set down his briefcase before climbing the stairs. Wearily, he ran a hand over his face. No one said politics were easy, but Tommy knew the stress was catching up to him day by day.
But he was pulled from his thoughts when he heard a soft giggle and a subsequent shush. He peered down the hall to see a bedroom door cracked open.
Tommy smiled and pretended not to notice as he continued down the hall. But once he reached the door, he lunged into the bedroom, grabbing the nearest twin.
Jack shrieked with joy and squirmed in Tommy's arms.
"I thought I heard two little mice sneaking around." He snatched up Henry in his other arm and carried the three-year-olds back to bed. "It's late."
The twins were just as mischievous as any Shelby boy ought to be. Both were clever and their strong bond allowed them to conjure up some devious schemes. Jack was a bit more headstrong and louder much like his namesake was. He was fearless, much to the dismay of everyone around him who had to make sure he wasn't off attempting something dangerous. Henry was softer spoken but no less smart. He listened and picked up on subtle cues from those around him. He had a habit of trailing after his father, trying to mimic him.
Despite their feisty nature, Kate and Tommy were proud parents. Kate could never get over the fact that these little angels were hers. She didn't like being apart from them for too long. Tommy was just as attached to them and felt an overall sense of peace when he was with his boys. They lived in such a different world, one of luxury and tranquility. Tommy sought to protect them and tend to them in a nurturing environment.
"S'not that late!" Jack protested as Tommy tucked him back into bed.
"It is very late. The moon is high and the horses are all asleep. Just as you two should be."
Henry grinned. "But daddy, you're awake."
"It was a long drive from London." He murmured and placed Henry's teddy bear back in his arms. "But now I'm off to bed."
"But we're not tired." Jack piped up again.
"Sleep will come," Tommy promised. "But I'll sit here for now." He promised and sat down, his back resting against Henry's bed. After a few more moments of hushed whispers and reassurances, the twins were fast asleep.
Tommy kissed them both on the forehead and left the door ajar. He went across the hall to his bedroom and found Kate sleeping on her side. He undressed quietly and slipped into bed with his wife.
