"Alright hold still," Wanda said.
Everyone was back at the compound. Natasha decided to not tell anyone about the reason they were captured. She knew they would not trust her. She did have to reveal the kill switch in Nadia's head because Wanda was the only person who could destroy it.
Using a scalpel Wanda made a slight incision revealing the chip, she then used her powers to jam the communication. Allowing her to quickly remove and destroy it.
"I wanted to see a head explode but saving a life is cool too," Clint said.
"Man I'm just happy to sit on something comfy again," Sam commented from the couch.
"Why do you guys make me do the unspeakable just because I become tiny? If Tony was here we wouldn't have gotten caught and I wouldn't have climbed up those guy's pants," Scot voiced.
Steve rolled his eyes.
"All I'm trying to say is he would have been a way better option than emo ninja over here," Scott added.
Nadia glared at him, "call me that one more time."
"Alright enough. We all could use some sleep," Natasha intervened.
Everyone went upstairs and into their rooms.
It was peaceful for the most part.
They awakened to hear banging on the door.
A cry for help could be heard.
"What if it's the government?" Scot questioned.
"Or hydra," Wanda said.
"They would have busted down the door by now," Steve remarked.
Clint grabbed his arrow and aimed at the door, "Open it. Whatever it is, we'll be ready."
They were all ready to attack once it was unlatched but they held back.
On their doorstep, was a woman begging to be let in.
"Please help me! I have nowhere to go," the woman cried.
"This ain't a shelter," Sam said.
Steve hit his shoulder and gave him a scolding look.
"What? It's not," Sam voiced.
"Does no one in this generation know what kindness is? Come in ma'am," Steve said.
"You are so nice. Thank you so much," the woman said going inside.
"A lovely place you have," she commented.
"Unfortunately, we don't have any extra rooms. Do you mind sleeping down here?" Clint asked.
"As long as it's under a roof I am a happy woman," she responded.
"She can have my room. I'll just share with Natasha if she doesn't mind," Nadia stated.
"I can handle your kicking for one night," Natasha shrugged.
"Just try not to have a night terror," Natasha added.
"No thanks, I'd rather pretend you're an evil hydra spy and pound you in my sleep," Nadia told her.
"I'll show you to your room," Sam voiced.
The next morning the team was at the table having breakfast. They waited for the lady to come downstairs but it seemed like that wasn't happening. They went up to the room to check on her. She was nowhere to be found. But sitting openly on the bed was a USB drive.
Clint grabbed it and put it into the computer.
"Everyone has it so easy with this new technology nowadays. Back when I was young we had to use punch cards to record and store data," Steve said.
When opening the laptop a video popped up immediately.
"Hello, Avengers," the woman smirked.
