Natasha blinked. Her face was neutral but inside she was going through various emotions. Anger, Confusion, Sadness. They were all there. Why would Nadia go looking for him? She thought. Was this some attempt at revenge? Bring him back into her life to ruin hers? She was conflicted on what to think and now it was clear she wasn't sleeping tonight. The next day she was going to stop them from leaving.
"Hey, wake up. We have an hour before we need to leave," Wanda said.
She shook Nadia until she got out of bed. Since there was a bathroom connected to theirs, they took turns taking a shower and getting ready. Nadia packed a bag that included everything she might need. It wasn't much, she needed the space to fit her laptop inside.
"This is it. I'm going to have my mother back," she nodded, trying to be confident about the matter.
"It's okay to be nervous," Wanda said.
"I'm not nervous," Nadia denied.
"Then why are you pacing?"
Nadia stopped moving and realized she was right.
"Okay, maybe I am. It's just...she's finally going to know. It's gonna change everything," Nadia said.
"I just hope she's not too mad when she realizes how it happened," she added.
"I don't think that is what she will focus on," Wanda lightly chuckled.
"Well, guess we'll have to find out," Nadia said.
They made it out inside the hallway when Nadia realized she had forgotten something.
"I'll be right back. Meet me outside," she instructed.
Wanda went downstairs without her but was surprised to see Natasha standing at the door with her arms crossed looking upset.
"I know where you're really going," she stated.
"Yes, you do. We need a break, remember? Thought we already talked about this," Wanda replied.
Natasha sent her a hostile glare, "she left out some important details. Like the fact that you are going to see Nikolai."
Wanda looked away nervously, "how do you know that?"
"That doesn't matter. Both of you need to start talking and tell me what the hell you're planning," Natasha replied.
"Okay. I'll go get Nadia," Wanda agreed, reluctantly.
She climbed the stairs and hurriedly walked to Nadia's room. She barged in without so much as a knock and spoke urgently.
"Natasha found out. She's downstairs waiting for you," Wanda warned.
Nadia, now alarmed, stopped searching for what she was trying to look for.
"Shit. What does she want?"
"For you to explain," Wanda said.
Nadia shook her head, "I can't do that. We have to leave."
She thought for a moment and knew what they had to do.
"Guess we're going out the window," she said.
Nadia opens it but she flinches at the sight of Natasha looking up at her.
"This isn't some 90's movie," Natasha commented.
She climbs inside and walks out the room but looks back at the both of them as they are not moving.
"You coming?"
Wanda and Nadia nod and follow her downstairs into the living room. Nadia's not sure how she will react or what she's supposed to say. She can't say the whole truth, obviously. Maybe if she stuck to the upset teen idea then she'd let it go. The couch they sat on had plenty of room, but Natasha sat really close to them.
"Start talking," she demanded.
"What's with you being so close? You against personal space?" Nadia questioned, feeling uncomfortable.
"It's to stop you from trying to run," Natasha remarked.
"I don't think you'd be able to stop me If I was stuck to your side," Nadia retorted.
"I want to know why you're looking for him," Natasha said, ignoring her.
"I can't say. I don't discuss important matters with child abusers," Nadia stated.
"I understand your upset. And you have every right to be. I was wrong for treating you the way I did. I'll apologize a million times if I have to but I also have every right to know about this. So please just explain," Natasha pleaded.
Nadia muttered, "you just won't give up."
She sighed and explained part of the plan, "we want to help. Me and Wanda plan to get him out of Hydra's mind control."
"And how are you gonna do that?"
"It's a lot to discuss. But we have to go now if we reach him in time," Nadia said.
"Then let's go," Natasha responded, getting up from the couch.
"What?"
"I'm coming with you," Natasha stated.
Nadia knew she could not say no, Natasha was the type to not take no for an answer. So she silently nodded her head and allowed the red head to tag along. On the way out the door they heard Steve talking to Bucky.
"You ready to start your new life?"
"Ready as I'll ever be," Bucky smiled.
Natasha stares at Steve wondering where he was going. She questions him but before he can respond Natasha said, "I can see you Scott"
"No, you can't," he said, walking across the floor in a sneaking motion.
She pinches his shirt and lifts the small man up, "you mind being a grown up for a change, kim possible?"
"But I don't wanna!" He whined.
She blankly stared at him, "change back."
"Fine," he said.
Scot grew back to his normal size. Once big his suitcases he carried with him were visible. He throws himself onto the couch.
"So where is everyone sneaking off to?"
"Funny, I was wondering the same thing. Mind telling us why you have your bags packed?" Natasha questioned.
He sighed, "okay. You got me. Your favorite avenger is leaving the nest."
"I took a plea deal. I'm sorry but I couldn't just stay here. I have a daughter that needs me," he said.
"They said it was house arrest. I took the deal, sorry Nat but I have to be there for my kids too," Clint said.
"That's it? You're both leaving?"
"Yeah, sorry," he answered.
She looks at Bucky and Steve.
"Then where are you two going?"
"I'm taking Bucky to Wakanda. He needs help and T'challa wants to be the one to do it. I'll be back," Steve replied.
"We know Wanda and Nadia are leaving for a break. But where are you going, Nat?" Clint asked.
"With them. Figured I can find redemption and make sure they don't get into trouble at the same time," Natasha said.
"Not a bad idea," Clint smirked.
"So, if Scott, Steve, Nadia, Clint, and Bucky are leaving who's left?"
Sam raised his hand, "me. I'll watch over the house."
Steve nodded, "thanks Sam."
"No problem, Cap," he said.
"When the whole probation thing is over, I'll come find you," Clint said to Natasha.
"You better," she said, hugging him.
"Same goes for me. Love you guys," Scott said.
"Even you goth girl," he added.
