Draco Malfoy, only child, and heir to the vast Malfoy estate, grew up in a huge manor, spoiled with material things, never having to worry about anything. From the outside looking in, they were the perfect pureblood family, envied, feared, and respected by others in the Wizarding world. Behind closed doors though, Draco's life was anything but perfect. He loved both of his parents dearly and knew they both loved him, but his father, Lucius Malfoy, was not an affectionate man towards his only child. From the beginning of his life, his father was this hard, cold man who rarely interacted with his son. Growing up he had strict rules to follow and his future planned out for him by his father with no say in it. He was taught by his father to hate anyone different than him and to bully everyone, to be feared was to be respected. His life wasn't only full of hate and fear, he was lucky to have Narcissa, a loving, devoted mother, who did everything she could to make sure that he felt loved, wanted, and safe, he adored his mother. Living in his father's shadow though was hard on Draco and he did everything to try and please his father, to prove that he was worthy of the name Malfoy, even if it never felt right to Draco.

He never really thought his father; the man Draco idolized, could be wrong in his views, until he turned 11 and went to Hogwarts. It was there that he met not only Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, but also the boy who would change his life forever, Harry Potter. With their help, he realized just how wrong his father was, and over time he became his own person. He had his own views and had made amends with all the people he had hurt, including Harry, Hermione, Ron, and all of their friends. Along the way, Draco and Harry had found love with each other and got married, he had become close to all of Harry's family and friends and they had all become close to Draco's two oldest and dearest friends Pansy Parkinson and Blaise Zabini. Draco rarely saw or spoke to his father, but his mother was still a very large part of Draco and Harry's lives. Draco worked as a Healer at St. Mungo's hospital and Harry was an Auror, they had many friends and their lives were perfect, even if they still had small battles to face because of Draco's dark past.

It was finally the weekend and for the first time in months, both Draco and Harry had it off and he couldn't wait to spend it relaxing with the man he loved. He arrived home and found Harry in the kitchen busy making dinner, he kissed Harry, before he went to their room to change into comfortable clothes.

"I'm so ready to spend the next two days doing nothing, I'm absolutely knackered." Draco said sighing exhausted, as he came back into the kitchen.

"Me too, I can't believe we both finally have the same weekend off." Harry agreed smiling, as he served the food.

"So, how was your day, love?" Draco asked, as they began eating the amazing food.

"Good, I actually managed to get all my paperwork done before I left." Harry answered. "Oh, I also had lunch with Ron and Hermione today."

"How is Hermione? She should be almost ready to have the baby, right?"

"Yeah, only a couple more weeks left." Harry answered smiling.

"I'm sure Ron is handling it well?" Draco asked smirking, knowing full well that since Hermione got pregnant Ron has been freaking out.

"You're taking the piss, but honestly, Ron seems to have calmed down." Harry said impressed with his best friend's change.

"Really, I thought Weaselbee would be a complete nutter by now." Draco said also impressed.

"You'll see for yourself tomorrow, they've invited us over for dinner." Harry said smiling.

"One last dinner before the newest Weasley is born, huh, should be interesting to see." Draco said smiling too.
