The rain began to fall heavily as Harry Potter-Malfoy finished putting dinner on the table. His husband of 10 incredible years, Draco Malfoy, would be home from his job as a Potioneer any time now. Draco had always loved and been good at potions while they were in school, so after Hogwarts, he had studied hard and became a Potion's Master. He then opened a small store in Diagon Alley, at first, it was hard for him, no one wanted to buy from a known ex-Death Eater, so for the first couple of years, his only customers were their mates and family. Eventually, word got around the Wizarding world about Draco's excellence in potions and soon he had more customers than he could keep up with. He had even become the guy that the Ministry and Aurors went to when they needed potions or to learn about them. Draco's biggest achievement though, was being given the supplier of potions to St. Mungo's hospital. Harry was so proud of his husband, he had worked hard and earned everything he had, he had refused to use Harry's name or the fact that they were married as a way of getting ahead. No one could take Draco's success from him, and many have tried in the past and failed miserably, he was no longer scorned or seen as a criminal.

Harry still found it hard to believe, even after 10 years, that he was married to the boy he had loved since their third year at Hogwarts. Their love story hasn't been easy, they've had many obstacles, but they overcame all of them together and in the end, they only made their love stronger. No matter what people have said or done...and continue to do, nothing could tear them apart, part of it was their love, and the other part was the undying love and support they have from their family and mates; especially Ron Weasley, his wife Hermione Granger-Weasley, Pansy Parkinson, her boyfriend Blaise Zambini, Luna Lovegood and her wife Ginny Weasley-Lovegood. In fact, it was Ron who had pushed Harry to ask Draco out for the first time all those years ago. His thoughts were interrupted by the flue in the living room going off, hearing it he went to greet his husband.

 "Hey, love." Harry said smiling.

"Hello, darling." Draco greeted him smiling too.

"How was your day?" Harry asked as he took Draco's bag from him and put it on the floor by the fireplace before he helped Draco out of his coat.

"Long." Draco replied sighing before he kissed him. "I don't want to bore you though." He added as he hugged him.

"You never bore me, love, I like hearing about your day."

"Is that dinner I'm smelling?" Draco asked, changing the subject.

"It is." Harry replied smiling as he pulled away.

"It smells brilliant, Har, I'm starving." Draco said smiling. "Just let me go change and then we can eat."

"Okay, I'll go serve it up."

Draco went upstairs to change, while Harry returned to the kitchen and began serving their food. He had just finished when Draco returned wearing comfortable, yet still Dracoesque clothes. Sitting down, they began eating, Harry listened happily as Draco told him all about his day.

When they were finished, Draco cleaned up and made them tea before they cuddled together on the couch and Draco read to Harry from his favorite book like they always did after dinner. An hour later, Draco was beginning to fall asleep, his long day finally catching up to him. Harry noticed and smiling, he gently took the book from him and put it on the coffee table. He then stood up and held his hand out, Draco took it and stood up too, they locked up and went upstairs to bed. Going into their room, they changed before they got into bed and Harry lay with his head on Draco's chest.

 "Goodnight, Dray, I love you."

"Goodnight, Har, I love you too, darling." Draco said tiredly.

Harry smiled sleepily as he fell asleep listening to his husband's heartbeat.
