The rain fell heavily, as Harry Potter sat alone in the living room of his large, quiet house, enjoying the rare moment of silence, as he drank his tea. He had a million things that he could be doing with his rare chance at having the house to himself, but he had decided to just sit and do absolutely nothing for a change. It was rare moments like this that he let himself think of his past and how incredibly lucky he was to have the life he did now.

It's been eight years since the war ended and he had made a new life for himself, a life that was busy and stressful at times, but full of love and laughter. He had the same group of friends he had had at Hogwarts, which included his two best friends who were now married, Ron and Hermione Weasley, and they had added some new friends along the way. After the war, Harry started working with the Ministry as an Auror and had worked his way to Head Auror. He had also along the way found love with the last person anyone; including himself, ever imagined would happen, he had found his soul mate in Draco Malfoy. Of course, Harry didn't really find it all that surprising, he had been in love with Draco since their third year at school, but he always believed that his feelings weren't reciprocated. That all changed though, one night, a year after the war, when they had run into each other at The Three Broomsticks and they ended up talking for a long time. They began meeting up regularly just to hang out and eventually, they both started bringing their friends into it. Then three months later, Draco asked Harry out on a date and the rest is history, they'll be happily married six years next month. Making their lives complete were their four beautiful, rambunctious, hilarious, brilliant children; the twins four-year-old Scorpius and James, two-year-old Lily, and one-year-old Hannahbelle.

All four children were biologically theirs, they were brought into the world with the help of their incredible friends. After learning that they wanted to start a family, Pansy and Luna both offered to carry the babies for them and they couldn't be any more grateful for the two of them. Pansy had helped them bring the twins into the world, they weren't identical, James looked exactly like Harry with green eyes and dark hair, while Scorpius looked exactly like Draco with grey eyes and pale blond hair. Their personalities were also very different too, James took after Draco, he was reserved and loved to read, while Scorpius took after Harry, he was always looking for adventure and wasn't really interested in reading. Then there were Lily and Hannahbelle, who Luna had helped them have. Both girls seemed to somehow be the perfect mix of both their fathers in looks and personality.

When the twins were born, Draco had decided to quit his job as a Healer at St. Mungo's and became a stay-at-home father to all four of their children. Harry had tried to stay home to help; they had more than enough money between the two of them that neither really had to work, but Draco had insisted that he would be fine. Harry had no doubts that he would be and Draco had proven to everyone that he was an incredible father. Both of them were hands-on, loving fathers, Harry was a little more carefree, whereas Draco was more of the disciplinarian. The kids loved both of their fathers and life was good for all of them.

Despite their happiness, there were still small things that would remind them of their past. There were still people, years later, that were angry that Draco didn't go to Azkaban and was married to Harry, so they had to deal with the harsh words, threats on Draco's life and safety, and the stories written about them in the Daily Prophet. They worked hard to shield their children from it all and it still bothered Harry, their friends, and family, but Draco had made peace with his past long ago and none of it bothered him, unless they brought their children, Harry, or their friends into it, then he became pissed. There was also the fact that despite growing close to Narcissa, Draco's beloved mother, Draco's father, Lucius, refused to have any kind of relationship with them. Harry sighed sadly, he knew Draco hated his father for everything he's done to them, but Harry wished that things could be different for them. His thoughts and peace were interrupted by the fireplace turning green and seconds later, his family returned home.
