Thunder echoed across the early morning sky, as the rain fell heavily onto the outside world. Harry slept on the couch, he tossed and turned in the grips of another nightmare. As another crack of thunder tore through the sky, he finally found his way back to reality. He sat up quickly, breathing heavily as if he had been running, his heart beat fast and Draco's name was on his lips. As the room was lit up again by lightning, he realized that it had only been a nightmare, he sighed shakily, as he ran his hands over his sweaty face and up through his hair. He took his blanket off, suddenly feeling trapped, and stood up, he went into the kitchen to make himself a cup of tea, but as he went to the fridge, he froze as he looked at all of the pictures on it. Smiling sadly, through his tears, he touched Draco's smiling face, he put a hand over his mouth to silence his sobs, not wanting his children or Narcissa to hear him break.

He took one of his favorite pictures of his husband off of the fridge and sat on the floor, he leaned against the cupboards and sighing sadly, stared at it. Draco has only been missing for a few hours now, but it felt like a fucking lifetime. There were no leads in his disappearance, Shacklebolt wouldn't let him help Ron work the case, but that wasn't going to stop him, dammit. He was so scared, how was he going to raise their kids without Draco? How was he supposed to live without him? He wasn't sure he could or would even know how to, Draco's been a part of him for most of his life, so how was he expected to suddenly know how to live without him?

"Harry?" Narcissa's gentle voice spoke from the doorway.

He didn't say anything, he just looked at her, his tears falling silently, she went to him and helped him to stand, before she took him into her arms. They held onto each other tightly, Harry cried, while Narcissa ran her fingers gently through his hair comforting him, like she used to do to Draco when he had cried. After a few minutes, Harry finally stopped crying and pulled away, Narcissa kissed his forehead.

"How about some tea?" She offered smiling sadly, as she placed a hand on his cheek, he nodded silently. "Alright, go sit down in the living room, dear, I'll make us some." She said, as she kissed his forehead again, he nodded and handed her the picture, before he left the room.

He slowly made his way to the living room and went to the window, he looked outside and saw that it was only lightly raining out now. As he watched the people go by his house, unaware of his broken heart, he wished that he was one of them. He wished that this was all just a bad dream and one of those people rushing by was his missing husband. His thoughts were interrupted by Narcissa coming into the room with the tea.

"Come sit down and drink your tea." She said gently.

Harry sat beside her on the couch and picked up his tea, as they drank in silence, he looked at his mother-in-law, she was looking into the fire and didn't notice him watching her. She looked tired, her eyes red like she had been crying, he reached over and took her hand. He wasn't the only one hurting, Narcissa was Draco's mother, she was hurting as much as he was.

"You know, when Draco was younger he was afraid of thunderstorms. I would lay with him in his bed under his blankets and we would sing songs together until he fell asleep." Narcissa said softly, lost in her memories. "He's never had it easy, his father always put too much pressure on him, and then he was forced...I always wanted better for him." She said sadly, wiping her tears away. "I know I've told you this before, Harry, but I'll be forever grateful that he found love with you. You are everything I always hoped he'd find and you make him so happy." She said, as she squeezed his hand.

"I'm the lucky one, he's made me so happy, I've never felt loved the way Draco makes me feel. I..." Harry began, but was cut off by Hannah crying.

"Finish your tea, I'll get her." Narcissa said, as she put her tea down and went upstairs to get her granddaughter.
