Harry slowly began to wake up as the soft morning sunlight came in through the bedroom window, and crept slowly and lazily across the floor, onto the bed, and into his sleeping face. Smiling, he carefully rolled over onto his left side, so he didn't wake his boyfriend, Draco, up. Expecting to find the man he loved laying there still asleep; he was met with an empty bed instead, Draco's side already made. Smiling again, he sighed, as he shook his head at his posh uptight boyfriend, and rolled onto his back, putting both of his arms under his head, as he stared happily at the ceiling. He had forgotten yet again that Draco was an early riser, he always has been, even when they were in Hogwarts Draco was always up with the sun. Rolling onto his left side again, he picked Draco's pillow up and held it close to him; it still smelled like the posh prat.
A month of dating Draco now and Harry still felt like it was all just a dream, he still couldn't believe that this was real, that he was finally able to love Draco openly and freely like he's longed to do for years. Of course, in true Harry Potter style, getting to this point hadn't been easy. He had dated that tosser, Grayson, for a few months, it had been a huge mistake, he had been a rubbish replacement for Draco, and he regretted every second that they were together. It took Draco getting into a physical fight with Grayson, defending Harry, to make him realize that Draco loved him too.
They'd been together since that night, even becoming partners again at work, and Harry had never been happier. He's never felt completely loved and needed before, not until he started dating Draco. Unlike Grayson, Draco knew everything about Harry; the good, the bad, and the ugly, he's never made Harry worry or doubt him. Draco was intelligent and Harry was able to have deep conversations with him, conversations he had grown to love. Draco encouraged Harry in everything he wanted to do, even if Draco didn't necessarily agree with it or approve, it was Harry's choice and Draco supported him. Draco was kind, patient and never made Harry feel like he was stupid or bad about anything. He made Harry feel loved, wanted, seen, and safe every second they were together, he looked at Harry like he was the only one in the world. When it came to money, Draco refused to let Harry pay for anything, unless Harry didn't give him a choice. And when it came to Harry's fame, Draco never used Harry's name to get anything and he didn't use their relationship either. He protected Harry from reporters unless Harry was alright with it and in those moments, Draco was happy to stand on the sidelines, letting Harry have his moment unless Harry wanted Draco with him.
Of course, Grayson refused to give him up without a fight, Harry wasn't daft though, he knew that the prat didn't love him, he just didn't want to lose the perks of being Harry Potter's boyfriend. He constantly left Harry gifts and letters at work and home, Harry would burn every single letter without ever reading them, and any gifts he received he would donate them wherever he could. He also tried to talk to him but thankfully, he always had Ron and Draco around to keep him from being able to. It was really pissing him off but refused to give Grayson any kind of reaction or attention. His thoughts were interrupted by a loud noise from downstairs, concerned that something had happened to Draco, he quickly got out of bed, grabbed his wand off the nightstand, and rushed downstairs to his living room.
"Draco?" Harry called out as he reached the room.
Before he could say or do anything else, he heard the noise again, only this time he realized that it was coming from outside. Rushing out onto his front porch, he was shocked to see Draco and Ron, hiding behind his bushes together, their wands out, neither had seen him yet. Confused, he was about to ask what they were doing when a blast caused by a spell happened, all three of them instantly covered themselves the best they could, the spell missed Draco by mere inches. Furious, seeing his best mate and boyfriend under attack, Harry looked around the corner of his porch and saw the mystery person about to attack again, wasting no time, Harry pointed his wand at them and fired off a spell. He didn't hurt the person, unfortunately, but he did stop them and scare them off.
