Draco Malfoy smiled as he changed into casual, yet still Dracosque, clothes for his weekly meet up with his closest mates for drinks at The Three Broomsticks. The reason for his smile though wasn't because of seeing his mates; even though he loved them all dearly and saw them all the time, no, this smile was reserved for someone special. He had never met this person before, didn't know anything at all about them, didn't know what they looked like, or even if they were male or female. So, how the hell could this mystery person be so special to him then? He really couldn't explain it, he just felt this invisible connection to this person, which was strange since they knew everything about him, but he knew absolutely nothing about them. Of course, people have tried to make him cautious of this mystery person, reminding him that they could be evil and want to hurt him. He knew in his heart though that they weren't evil, they truly cared about him in ways he's only ever felt with his mother, and it was all because of the little things that they do for him.

It all started six months ago when he had caught a particularly nasty bug from getting caught unprepared in an unexpected downpour, he had forgotten to replenish his potions ingredients, so he couldn't whip something up to make himself better. Knowing he needed to get the things for the potion, he had forced himself to get off of the couch and go into town. Before he could however, an owl he had never seen before appeared at his window with a package for him. After accepting the package and giving the unfamiliar owl a treat, it had flown away and he sat down on the couch. Confused, he checked for any address or names from the sender, but there was none. So, he carefully opened the box and was surprised to find a bottle of the exact potion he needed to feel better and the ingredients he needed to make more of it. There was no note, so not taking any chances, he checked the boxes contents multiple times to make sure that some prat didn't want to kill him; wouldn't be the first time it's happened, he is a Malfoy and an ex-Death Eater after all.

When no dark motives or magic could be found, Draco took the potion and instantly felt better and wished he could thank his mystery gift giver. Of course, he had questioned his mates, but none of them had even known that he had been sick. And that had been the start of his mystery person's quest to make Draco happy without revealing their identity. For the last six months, when he least expects it, his mysterious admirer does something for him or leaves him something to show that they care. They've left him things like tea made just the way he likes it on his desk at work or at his house, they've left him his favorite sweets when he's had a particularly stressful day, or they help him out by doing something for him he's forgotten to do, like get groceries, or finish his paperwork.

He had told his mates about it and all of them liked to tease him incessantly about it, at first, it bothered him, but now their teasing didn't affect him in the slightest. He was secretly beginning to develop feelings for this person, which was complete and utter rubbish, how can that happen when he knows nothing about them? Hearing his clock downstairs chime, he realized that he was running late, sighing, he turned from the mirror and pulled his coat and shoes on, before he left the room and went downstairs to the living room. Going into the room, he found his beloved mother, Narcissa, sitting in her chair by the fireplace, reading one of their many books, he greeted her smiling.

"I'm leaving now, mother." Draco said, as he kissed her cheek.

"Have fun, my darling, say hello to everyone for me and remind them about dinner tomorrow, please?"

"I will, mother." Draco said smiling, before he fixed his jacket and apparated to meet his friends.

Going inside, he looked around the busy room, until he finally spotted his mates in a back booth, their usual spot, smiling, he walked up to their table.

"Dray, you finally made it, mate." His mate Blaise Zabini greeted him smiling, as Draco greeted him and their other mates, Pansy Parkinson, Ginny Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger-Weasley, with hugs.
