They'll never know us

How are adults so oblivious?

They don't notice our pain

They don't notice our drama

They don't notice our tears

They don't understand

How we really feel

They say we're just teens

That it's just a phase

That we're too young

That we don't know the world yet

They don't understand

Our love

Our music

Our smiles

Our laughter

They say it's all in our heads

They don't remember

What it was like to be us

They don't remember

Teen, high-school, young love

They don't remember what it's like

They don't know us

They'll never know us

They can't understand us

Because we're teens

And they don't understand

They don't want to understand

They'll never know

Our stress

Our depression

They'll never understand us
