This feeling is rare
This feeling is nice
People who get it often,
No wonder they're so nice.
I think it's called happiness
It's not an emotion I get often.
I feel free,
Free of my past,
Free of the love
That I used to have.
I like this feeling.
It's better than the sadness.
It feels good,
To have a real laugh,
To not fake a smile.
And I'm thankful,
For not being depressed.
Even for a moment.
Even for just a minute.
It reminds me,
That everything's okay
And that today
Is yesterday's tomorrow.
