I am a paper girl

Being folded by society

With dreams of leaving

With dreams of finding something

With wants of finding the real me.

I am a paper girl

Who lives in a paper world

Where paper people

Are being folded to fit their cultures.

I am a paper girl

Who knows that

paper people fold other paper people

Because of society

And they

Don't even realize it's happening.

I am a paper girl

Who is placed in paper boxes

With paper labels

That determine my boring paper fate

And who I

And what I

Should and shouldn't be.

I am a paper girl

Who is told what to do

And what not to do

And is given myself to blame

For the paper worlds mistakes.

I am a paper girl

Who sits alone

Who goes through her folds

And tries to figure out

Which lines are her own.

I am a paper girl

In a paper world

Wanting a change.

I am a paper girl

Who lives in a paper city

Surrounded by paper people

In the paper world

Living a boring paper life.

I am a paper girl

Who's trying not to get paper cuts

From paper people

In this paper world

Who don't give a damn about me.
