Spencer's body stills feeling her lips softly touch his. As her fingers held the back of his head, he began to take over the kiss. His lips fused against hers whilst he seeked entrance into her mouth. He needed to kiss her. He needed to possess her in the same way she possessed him. He wanted her to feel it and every emotion that he was. She was everything he ever prayed for in his arms. He tried to explain this to Darnell, but he made fun of the idea. Then, he told him, it's when you know. The first time he laid eyes on Kianna, he knew then. With Olivia, it's like his life didn't make sense until she came along. Holding her, touching her, conversing with her, just being around her made his entire day. She's got an hold on him, and it scared him. He thought he loved Kianna. He thought he knew what it was like to want someone so much that he'd go half-crazy without them. This differed from that. This never took away from his love for Kianna, he did love her once upon a time.
Only now, he sees it for what it was, and it was simply the idea of loving what her and Darnell had. Kianna is his best friend, but Olivia was the woman he lived for, and his reason to breathe. He holds her in his arms as his mouth secured to hers. He wanted to love her the way he should've when they made their baby. He wanted to show her what it's like to be honored because that's what she deserves. This wasn't like the night at the bakery shop. Not a cease fire, but a final fight. Her fingers gripped his head to hers, as he pulled her into his arms, easily wrapping her legs around his waist. Their lips meshed as he walked with her, pressing her back between his frame and the rough bark of a tree. He needed the leverage, and she didn't seem to care. It's as if they've finally given in and neither one of them wanted to waste a second. But he needed to stop this, he needed to take her home.
"Liv" He breathes finally breaking away.
"Don't stop" she begs pressing her lips back on his. The taste of her sugar lips was heavenly. He started to remember how sweet everything else on her tasted too. A flavor he planned to reacquaint himself with very soon. By sheer determination, he managed to control himself every night they were in bed together, comforting himself by relieving himself in the bathroom every morning. Waking up with her body wrapped around him was complete torture, but it wasn't just the sexual attraction he felt towards her driving him mad. It was the little noises she made in her sleep. Throughout the night, she'd clutch him, moaning and sighing. He almost ripped her clothes off three nights ago, though he promised he would wait it out per her request. Her voice was very needy. Then she started moving against him, her hand snaking down her body until he stopped her. No way he could allow her to touch him like that without setting her rules on fire. He was close to imploding if he didn't have her soon. For now, all he could do was drink her in. Her body molded to him, while his thoughts ran free on how many other ways they fit. He slowly backed away from the trunk of the tree, and their lips disconnected. When her legs loosened from his waist, he debated stopping. He enjoyed having her cling to him. He'd like it even better when she could be in her birthday suit again.
"I jumped you, I'm sorry" She looked away.
"You don't have to be sorry for that ever" Her pair of browns brightened as an smile started to form.
"So much for our rules"
"You mean your rules" Olivia chuckles.
"I'm hopin that means you're throwing all rules out now"
"Mmm maybe we can renegotiate" It was an offer, but he saw the white flag she was waving.
"All of them don't need to go"
He planned to take full advantage of this opening she was giving. She's stubborn as all get out so for her to concede on anything was a miracle. His hand reached out, pushing a strand of hair back from her face.
"Olivia" He dragged the last syllable, calling her attention.
"You thought something happened over there, but it didn't. I would never betray you. I know what it means for you to be here" He rests, making sure she was listening.
"But there's a lot of shit you said that needs to be cleared up" She nods waiting to hear him speak.
"I'm not in love with Kianna. Haven't been for a really long time. She has nothing to do with us." He wanted her to hear that and hear it good, being this was her second time bringing it up.
"We never dated, never done anything. She's always been my brother's girl. Not to say that I didn't love her, because I did, but I loved her enough to let her go. Letting her go for me also meant letting go of anything more than a friendship"
"Spencer" She placed her hand on his chest.
"I saw it, and I overreacted. I'm just dealing with a crazy amount of doubts and fears. Kianna told me an while ago that you and Ni-"
"Damn it"
He snaps, knowing what she's afraid of and what Kianna may have said about him. He thought he had already covered this for her, her first night here, but apparently, she was still worried about it.
"I need you to hear what I'm saying and really understand it"
"Okay" she suspires. He didn't care if she didn't want to listen to it. Not because he wanted to hurt her, but because she needed to know without a shadow of a doubt what the truth was. The only person who could give her that was him. Lord knows what Kianna told her or what she's twisted in her own mind. So it was better to set the record straight now so they could put it behind them, losing the risk of rehashing things of the past.
"I'm an honest man. I live a simple life, and I've done that without giving a shit about what anyone thinks. I never led a girl to believe or think there was more than what I was giving them. Never brought them to my house. Never taken them on dates" He raised his brow making a point.
"I sure as hell never moved them in with me. Take that how you want it, but you're different. I think you feel that too"
She doesn't say anything as she stood with her small hand pressed against the bare skin of his chest, feeling his heart rate growing out of control. He refused to tear his eyes from her own. He wanted her to see the truth behind his words. He's not hiding anything. It's all out in the open, and all he could do is hope she felt even a little bit of the same.
"I-"He watched as the storm rolled through her gaze. He could see how much this scares her. Then he saw resolution.
"I like you more than I should. You're different for me too. I've been happy being by myself. I had my job, my friends, my brother, and I'm a pretty damn good tete. There's never been this desire to be a mom or a wife. While my friends got married and started families, I lived the life that I wanted. They didn't agree or understand me, but I like dating around. I enjoy my freedom. I enjoy taking care of myself"
Nothing she said he didn't understand, but it was in his nature and DNA to want to take care of her. That would be a fight and one that he'd be willing to go toe to toe with her against, but not today. A woman should be respected and cared for. A man needs to ensure that it's done. Spencer watched his father do everything for their family, and he would do nothing less than that for his own. He will give her everything. Olivia continues,
"I'm now finding out how to be someone else. Someone who all of a sudden, likes curling up on the couch and watching Love is Blind with you. That isn't me. I don't like cuddling and lunch dates. I like my space. But then I like you, and you don't like space as much. I can't explain it, but I just know I want to be near you"
"Stop talking"
He didn't let her say another word. He dipped his lips to hers for a brief kiss. Any longer, he would rid her of clothes in the middle of the pathway and take her right there.
"Let's go home"
That's what he wanted to think of this as. He dreaded the argument about her going home two months from now. Then again, he didn't plan for that to be a problem. She's going to want to stay with him, after he shows her all the reasons, they're right for each other.
Enjoy their small sweet moments! ♥️
