"On my momma, Liv" Kianna warned her best friend.
"If you don't tell me what you're carrying tonight I promise you I will not be held responsible for what's to happen next"
Olivia chuckles to herself. She's made everyone wait for the past three and a half weeks. She couldn't decipher why she didn't tell them, but it could be because she wasn't ready to share the news and this in turn drove everyone mad in the process.
"I've been patient love, but I'm slowly dying over here. You wouldn't wanna be responsible for letting an old lady die before she knows what her grandbaby will be, do ya?" Grace layered on the guilt. Spencer glanced with an grin.
"Fine fine" Liv huffed.
"I suppose we can tell you" Both of Kianna and Grace's eyes shift between the couple before they yelled,
"It's an girl!"
"I knew it!" Kianna cheered hurrying forward hugging her tight.
"You definitely needed an little girl!"
"I couldn't agree more!" Liv laughs.
"Just think about all the pink and purple pretty stuff were going to get!" Mrs. James pulled Olivia into her arms before Spencer's dad, followed behind.
"I'm so happy you're giving this family an girl to spoil! I don't think I could've listened to Grace complain for another twelve years about boy and men things"
Carter was such an sweet and kind-hearted man. He never really said much, but when he did, it was always important to listen. Olivia was really nervous around him the first few times they met until she realized he's an big ol softy. Spencer explained that he thrives in the quiet and doesn't have the urgency to fill his world up with noise. Everyone laughed and talked about how excited they were. It marked the first time all of them truly celebrating anything related to the pregnancy. Spencer's eyes shifted every now and then, still in his mood. They hadn't talked over what was bothering him, and he hasn't tried mentioning it either. Olivia believed they had crossed an threshold, but now it felt like they had regressed. They sat around the table for an family meal. Her nephews were ecstatic to have an girl cousin, offering several suggestions for names, which she found to be very entertaining at the time. Spencer sighed about boys and the myth behind what they think about girls while she continued to laugh.
"You should name her, Harle" Jonah snickered.
"Mm I kinda like that name!" Olivia states.
"Because we all live in Harlem" He giggled at his own joke.
"Welp we can cross that one off, not that it matters if Harle is in the name" Spencer dismissed the idea as Olivia shared looks with Kianna, who was already giving her an look.
"What do you mean by that?" Liv asked.
"Nothing, it means nothing, I'm sorry" Spencer looked over, shaking his head.
"Okay" Olivia leans in closer, dropping her voice to an whisper, placing her hand over his.
"I feel like something's bothering you"
"What about Gianna?" Noah offered.
"Yeah, no"
Olivia deadpans. The boys continued with more horrific names. Olivia pictured what she might look like. Brown or black hair most likely like her. She hoped for her to have Spencer's light and wide brown eyes and nose. Regardless of that, she knew she would be beautiful, and she put her faith in that fact.
"How bout Faith?" It finally hit her.
"Faith? You like that name?" Spencer repeated. She smiled while nodding.
