Three Weeks Later
"There's open space for you in the closet" Spencer tells Olivia while he unloaded her car. She was living in Harlem, in his house, while carrying his baby.
"Thanks" She speaks indistinctly, trying to get her head on straight. She agreed to it, but she couldn't stop herself from feeling like she'd been forced into doing this. After leaving Harlem with a plan in place, she got focused. She knew the goal was packing away a few months' worth of things, get Eric all set up and find someone to watch her place. Kianna, over the moon about her extensive stay, offered to let one of their bakers house sit since they live with parentals. She had been more than excited, then Olivia was moving, or visiting for a long time to Georgia. Freaking Georgia. Spencer called her at least once a week, making sure she wasn't backing out and she tried her best to remain hopeful about their situation. He told her about some work he did in the house, and how he was looking forward to her arrival. They spent no more than fifteen minutes per call, yet it felt like they had shared so much in those short periods of time. It appeared that he was truly excited, as he kept reiterating how much he wanted to spend this time with her, further confusing the expectant mother.
"Looks like that's everything" He placed the suitcase on the bed. Olivia nodded, unable to carry her voice. Her hormones were all over the place, spontaneously bursting into tears out of the blue. On the drive down, she pulled over when it became too much. She wasn't particularly sad, just overwhelmed. She was living with her baby daddy, with no job, and theoretically, she was a walking disaster. Her eyes roamed the small but cozy bedroom. Everything in Spencer's home was simple and had purpose. No decorations on the walls, clean and comfortable. Walls in his bedroom were painted nude, neutral cream color, and the bedding had a red down comforter with fluffy pillows, covering most of the bed. Only thing that stood out was his large television that was mounted on the wall across from them. Rest of the house remained the same. It screamed, bachelor. She put away the rest of her stuff, turning to see Spencer leaning against the door.
"So," Her voice cracks slightly.
"What's the plan?"
"To get to know each other" He walked to her, sitting on the bed with a grin plastered on his face. She laughs.
"By living together" She slowly starts nodding her head.
"Yeah, but kinda like speed dating" Spencer muses.
"We'll use the time we got and see where it leads us"
"Least we can skip the awkward after part talk. Been there done that. Not to mention the whole, what happens if we get pregnant talk" They shared a laugh. He took her hand, pulling her on the bed next to him.
"I'm not exactly sure what we should be doing here, but we'll figure it out. Just take it one day at a time"
"Hm, I think we need rules" His brow raised.
"Rules huh? What is this, child's play?"
"No, it's not, and yes rules. I have rules" she said sternly.
"Speak yo mind then woman" He swiped his hand out in front of himself.
"Firstly, absolutely no sex with each other or other people. No dating other people, either. No going to bed angry. No using the baby as a way to get what we want. No snoring, no eating off my plate. You wanna keep your hands, don't ever touch my coffee. Those are my form of rules" Spencer stares away, astonished.
"No sex? Don't you think that ships already sailed?"
"The ship may have sunk already, but it'll be good for us to spend the next few months not complicating things between us even more. So, like I said, no sex" His grin widened.
