New York

"What you think?"

Eric asked Olivia. It had been a rough two weeks since she returned back to New York, but, Eric was happy to have her back. He's been in her ear every day about looking for new properties. Olivia figured there was no point in holding that off, so today he was dragging her around to check out new locations.

"It's nice" Eric stepped in front of her.

"Liv, you've said that about every single spot we've looked at. One of them was an trap house turned out by an condo"

"Whatever you choose, is nice, Ric"

Olivia's heart wasn't in anything, it's back in Harlem being trampled. When she got home, she thought it would only be an few days before she got settled back into her old life. She had no idea it would feel like her insides were being shriveled up. Nothing felt the same, not even Starbucks could cure the pain throbbing in the pit of her heart. Nothing did. She missed the fresh air, rolling steep hills, and the stubborn ass of a man she was in love with. More than that, she hated that Faith was buried there and she was here. She couldn't go see her. She can't talk to her on that hill, and she felt more alone than ever before. Her body wasn't healing properly, she's achy, unable to eat, and all she wanted was sleep.

"Olivia, I'm worried about you" He placed his hand on her arm.

"Maybe you should talk to someone"

"I don't. I'm just...sad" Olivia lifted her shoulders to her ears.

"I'm not gonna say I understand because I don't, but I'm an pretty good listener"

He was sweet, the reason why she brought him on. Not only was he smart, but he really did have an heart of gold.

"Thanks, appreciate that"

Olivia didn't want to talk. There was nothing left for her to say. She fell in love with an man that didn't love her back. If he did, he would've shown that. She needed him. Sure, physically, he was there, but he checked out every other way possible. If she had stayed, nothing would've changed. He showed her this. It's been two weeks without an word. She's fought herself from calling or texting him, but she vowed to put her broken heart back in her chest, hoping it would beat normally again. She didn't think that would happen if she called him and heard his voice.

"Wanna grab something to eat?" Eric offered.

"Not hungry"

"Olivia" He sighs.

"You're miserable here"

She was miserable in general. Who knew that heartbreak would hurt this bad? She always thought people were just being dramatic when they spoke like this. She never could grasp how they couldn't move on when an relationship ended or didn't work out. Now, she understands.

"I feel like I lost everything" She says.

"I know I haven't, I mean I have the store, you, Kianna, and my nephews back there. I'll snap out of it eventually"

"Have you tried calling him?"

Every. Day.

"I made myself perfectly clear on how I felt. He did the same by not answering my calls"

She promised Kianna she would see her in an few months, but she didn't know how she could possibly do that, but she would be in attendance at her wedding. Somehow, she'd find an way to get there and be fine when she seen him. Copious amounts of alcohol would be consumed.

"I hate this for you" Eric's sweet voice comforted her.

"I'm not gonna push you if you're not ready"
