The Promise

Part 46

I had math exam today. I wasn't so worried and upset because I have studied for it and I am ready. I was in front of the classroom with Luke.

"I don't know nothing. I am sure I'm gonna fail" he said to me

"You didn't study?"

"Yeah and I hate math, you know." he smiled

"Your mum is going to kill you."

"I know." he made worried face

"I'll try to help you when I finish with mine." I smiled

"It would be great."

We get in the classroom and we sat on our places. I sat next to Luke. Mr. Styles came.

"Come on everybody. All your phones on my desk." he said and we all put the phones on his desk.

He gave us the exams and we started. I was prepared for it and it was easy to do it. I was almost finished and I saw that Luke didn't write anything. I started telling his what to do and how to resolve it. It was working. In one moment I saw that Mr. Styles was watching us. He saw that I was helping him and that wasn't allowed. I thought he is going to take our exams, but he didn't. He just smiled to us. I can't believe, he let us doing that. It was so surprising.

In one moment one of the phones rang.

"Can I answer it?" I heard female voice from the back. It was Fia

"No. Do your exam." Mr Styles told her

"Can you see who is?"

"No, Fia. You are doing a exam, no phones."

"But maybe it's important. Just tell me who is. Please Mr Styles" she was too annoying.

"Um, ok." he said and he looked at the phone "It says Mikey" he said to her

I felt a big pain, when I heard it. Mikey in her life is Michael. He was calling her. Michael was calling Fia. I got bad immediately.

"That's all I needed to hear." she said and she looked at me. That look was evil and hypocritical.

"Fia has a new boyfriend" I heard some voice from the back

"It's not new, she is back with her old boyfriend" said Liam

"Ok, stop everyone. Get back on your exams" said Mr Styles

I didn't want to be in these room anymore. I was dying in it. I couldn't breath. Michael is in relationship with her. I broke my pencil, because I was freaking out. All people in the room looked at me

"Oh, somebody got jealous" said Liam and everybody laughed

"Not jealous of bitches" I said and I get up. I gave my exam to Mr. Styles

"Cara, wait, you can't get out" I heard Mr. Styles talking to me while I was getting out of the classroom. I went in the ladies bathroom and I threw my bag on the ground. I was too much nervous. I want to forget about Michael and he can be with every girl in the world, but with Fia. That is freaking me out. He cheated on me with her and now they are dating. He said to me that he regrets about it. He was lying. That was hurting, a lot.

I heard the bell. I fix my hair and I wash my face, then I get outside. In the moment I get out I saw Mr. Styles. He saw me.

"In my office, now." he said to me and he was very angry.

We went to the office.

"What the hell was that?" he kind of yelled at me

"I am sorry Mr. Styles. I won't repeat that." I apologize to him

"You know, you can be punish for that. It's against the rules of the school." he was still with the same tone talking to me
"Then punish me. I won't repeat that."
"You know, I can't do that." he said that with a normal voice.
"Why? It's against the rules of the school." and now I was trying to provoke him.
"You know why" he said to me and I didn't know what to do. "but, that's not important now. You can't get mad and piss off about everything" he said to me
"It's not that simple."
"Then do that simple." he smiled. I didn't know what was he thinking with it.
"Should I go to the director office or you'll tell him" I wanted to change the subject about that. It wasn't the place for it.
"No we are not telling it." he said
"but..."
"No but. We won't tell it" he interrupted me
"Ok, thank you Mr. ..."
"Hmm"
"Thank you Jack" I said to him and I get out of the the office.

I went to the garden to get some fresh air. Luke came to me.
"Are you ok?" he asked me
"Yeah, I am."
"Come on, you need to listen something" he said to me
"What?"
"Come you'll see"
We went to some more quite place.
"Mike is not Fia's boyfriend" he said to me
"I don't care anymore Luke."
"Just listen to this. I'll call him and I'll put him on speaker. Only to know that he isn't her boyfriend"
"I said I don't care"
"Cara, you'll listen it." he said and he called Michael

"Hey mate. What's up?" I heard Michael voice after one month and I felt nervous
"You have new girlfriend. Congrats." said Luke
"What? Who? I don't know anything about it" said Michael and the Luke told him everything about today's class, except for that part with me
"OMG, bitch. I am going to kill her"
"Why did you called her anyway?"
"To send her to the hell and tell her to stop sending me messages. She is so annoying."
I didn't now what I was feeling in the moment he said that. I wasn't sure that he was telling the truth, but something was telling me that he is not lying.
I felt relive, but that's all. Nothing about forgiving him.
"How did Cara react on that?" Michael asked.
I showed Luke to shut up and not tell him anything.
"She didn't do anything." said Luke. "Listen mate, I gotta go now. We'll talk later" said Luke and they finished the conversation.
"And?" Luke looked at me
"Good for him. I still don't care"
"I know, but you needed to know about her lie."
"Maybe." I said and I get back at school.
