The Promise

Part 65

My live continue after the trip and it was going pretty well. I finished my third year in high school in Melbourne. I was in relationship with Jack a year and a few months, then we broke up. It wasn't going. How the time passed, we were realizing that we are so different and we can't be together. We split, but like friends and we stayed friends.

In one moment during the summer, Nate told me that he is moving to New York City. He found some job there, because he finished his college. He came with idea to go with him there. Of course I wanted to, that's New York, I wanted some change. I was too bored in Melbourne. We told that to my parents and they say 'no' the the beginning. They say that I can go and spend the summer in Sydney, but there is no chance in New York. I wanted to go in Sydney to see Ivy, but I can go in Sydney wherever I want. New York City was something different for me. After all that persuasion, they finally agree and they let me go with Nate in NYC.

So we left, but not only for the summer, I stayed to leave there with him. I finished my last year of high school there. NYC was amazing, full of fun and you can't be bored there. I 'felt in love' with it. I met a lot of people and now I have I lot of friends there. I changed my self totally. I grow up, I am a 'real woman' now. I cut my hair, I had a short hair now and I like it. I think I am more sexy with it. I am just kidding.

Nate was so good with me and he helped me a lot. He was working so hard every day and I can say he made a lot of money. He has a girlfriend now, Kate. They are together a year and they are doing great. Kate is so nice and I can say she is my best friend in New York.

I didn't missed Australia at all, I just missed Ivy so badly. I haven't seen her for two years. We are conected through Internet, but you know that's not the same like seeing her in life and talking with her face to face. She was still with Luke. I couldn't believe that after 3 years they are still together and they so love each other.

And about Michael and Jack. I saw Jack a few times here in NYC. He was leaving there for a few months and I saw him while he was meeting with Nate. We are good friends and I am not feeling awkward being around him.

And Michael. I don't have conection with him. Sometimes Ivy tell me something about him, but we are not really talking about him.

One day Nate told me that he is opening his own business, but in Sydney. There was the best place for it. He said that I can stay here if I want. I am now 19 and I can take care of my self alone. I was thinking a long time, should I go back with him or should I stay here. I realized that I am scared of staying here without Nate and I decided to go back in Sydney. My parents were in Melbourne. They wanted me to go back in Melbourne, but I didn't want. I was having chance to live again in my birth city, I am not going to miss it. I decided to go in Sydney and go to college there, in the same that Nate was going to. When I finish it, I'll have job in Nate's company. Nate and I planed all.

The best thing of everything was that Kate was going with us in Sydney. She couldn't live in NYC without Nate and Nate can't live without her too, so now she is going with us.

It came the day when we needed to get back to Sydney. We got ready and we went to the airport, but first we took Kate from his home.

"Excited?" Kate asked me while we were in the plane.

"Um, yeah, I think so. I missed it so much" I smiled to her

"Cara, I think that you must go in Melbourne first. I am sure your parents are dying to see you." Nate interrupted our conversation

"Nate, I'll see. I want to spend time in Sydney first. Then I'll go" I said to him

"but, Cara, you haven't seen them 2 years" he was so annoying

"Nate I'll see" I said to him and I turn myself to Kate "Are you excited?" I smiled to her

"Yeah, I have never been in Sydney and now I am going to live in it." she smiled and she looked really happy

"You'll love it, I am sure" I said to her

"I hope so" she made kinda worried face

After that long flight, we finally arrived. It was 4 AM when we arrived and we were tired from the flight. We went in Nate's house immediately.

Ivy was probably sleeping, but I so wanted to call her and told her that I arrived. I called her a couple of times, but she wasn't answering me, so I gave up. She was probably sleeping and she couldn't wake up. Tomorrow I am going to meet with her.

I dressed up my pajamas and I fall asleep immediately. I was to tired.
