The Promise

Part 50

When I went home, I saw that Nate was home. I didn't knew what to say to him and I went to my room immediately. A few minutes later Nate came to my room.
"I know all what you'll say to me. Don't waist your time" I said to him and I sat on my bed
"Are you serious with him?" he asked me
"No, I am not. I am not planing on serious relationship right now" I said to him
"That's why you can't be together. He is serious with you."
"He told you that?" I made happy face
"Yeah and you look happy about it."
"Listen Nate. I am trying to forget Michael and it's working."
"You are getting in more troubles while you are trying to forget him"
"I don't know, but I do know that I am feeling good when I am with Jack."
In that moment Nate's phone rang. It was Jack. They deal to see each other and they include me in their plan. So we get ready and we went to Jack house.
We rang on the door and Jack opened it. We get in. He lives alone, so we were alone in the house.
They started talking about some their stuff from the past and it was very interesting to listen them. They were so crazy guys and they still are.
"What's happening with Ivy?" Nate asked me in one moment
"Nothing special. She is great" I said "You are in Sydney too. You have to know more then me" I smiled
"I am not really going to that part of the city." he said
"Mate, you did you broke up?" Jack asked him
"Because of Nate." I said
"I could fix everything, but I didn't want to hurt her." said Nate
I heard my phone ringing
"Speaking of Ivy" I said that when I saw that Ivy was calling me
"Ivy..." I said when I answer the call. I didn't heart anyone on the other side of the line. "Ivy are you here?"
"I am" I heart Michael's voice and didn't knew what to say. Jack and Nate were looking at me and I got upset when I heart Michael's voice. "Cara are you here?" I heard Michael's voice again
"Yeah, what do you want?" I barely spoke.
"Talk with you. I miss you."
"um..." I didn't knew what to say. I looked at Jack and I saw from the look of his face that he knows that I am talking with Michael.
"Cara, talk to me." said Michael and I turn my phone off.
"Um, you were talking" I said to them
"I need to go and take something from one friend." said Nate
"Ok, then we are leaving"
"You can stay if you want, I'll take you in an hour" said Nate
"Great." I smiled and I looked at Jack
"I'll go then before I change my mind" he said and he left

We were alone with Jack at his house.
"How he hurt you?" Jack asked me and he sat near me on the sofa
"Um, he cheated on me" I said "Change the subject please" I said to him
and I lied on his chests
"The project?" he laughed
"Some other?" I smiled
"You and I" he said and he kissed me on the forehead
"Yeah, we are pretty weird couple. First, we both love math, you are my professor and you are Nate's friend. We are cool" I laughed
"Yeah, you are using me to forget about your ex and I am trying to have normal relationship with my student." he laughed
"We are awesome" I smiled and I get up from his chests. I looked at him and he caressed my face and mt hair. He was getting closer to me and after few seconds I felt his lips on mines.
A few minutes later he stopped and he looked at me
"Are we in relationship now?" he asked me
"Let's not call this relationship, but we are together" I smiled

He kissed me again. We spend that hour hugging and talking about each other. Then Nate called me and we get back home. I was feeling good.

Next day Nate took me to school. In front of the school I saw Luke. He was talking on the phone and he stopped when he saw me. I knew that he was talking with Michael.
"Don't stop because of me and tell him to not call me anymore" I said to Luke
"Cara, he is so bad. He isn't living." Luke said to me while we were getting in the school.
"I don't care. He didn't care about me too." I made a fake smile and we went to the classrooms.

On my lunch brake I went with Luke in the cafeteria.
"What's going on with Ivy?" I asked him while we were drinking out coffee
"I think that it's going to be" he smiled
"Yeah, she told me you are pretty close these weeks"
"You know I love her and I want to be with her"
"Yeah, but Luke you know about this kind of relationships. She is in Sydney and you are here"
"Cara, I am planing to go back in Sydney next semester" he said to me
"OMG, what? Are you serious?" I got really surprised
"Yeah, I want to try with Ivy."
"I am so happy about you Luke." I smiled. I was really happy for him, but I want him here. I need him here.
"Oh how can I leave you here?" he looked at me and he smiled
"You are leaving me" I laughed "My BFF is leaving me"
"I am going to miss you too" he laughed "Your turn now?" he said
"What about me?" I smiled
"You know, there is one professor here in the school. He is kinda hot for the girls" he laughed "What do you have to say about him?" he asked me
"He is pretty good kisser" I laughed
"You are dating?" he asked
"Kinda" I smiled
We talked a little bit more and we went to class. When I finished with school I went home. Nate was leaving, so I said goodbye to him. Then I went to my room, to rest a little bit.
