The Promise

Part 73

There were a few hours before the opening party and we were home getting ready. Nate was wearing very beautiful suit and Kate and I were in dresses.

"Nate, wait, your tie" Kate was yelling at Nate about his tie "When you will learn to do it well" she said to him and she fixed it

"You are here for it" he laughed an he kissed her in the forehead "By the way Cara, you are going to be bored there. You should call some of your friends" he said to me

"I already called Ivy. She'll come" I said to him

"O, that's ok." he smiled "I was thinking about Michael, but never mind. Ivy's good too"

"Nate, shut up" Kate whispered to him

"You told him?" I asked Kate curiously

"Yeah, sorry... I slip it" she looked at me with a 'I am sorry' face

"Michael and Cara together again" Nate laughed and he looked happy about it

"You are speaking nonsense Nate, there's nothing between us."

"By the way, I invited Mike." he said to me

"Oh, Nate, what the hell. Ok, never mind, I don't mind" I tried to say that I am not good with that, but it didn't work.

After an hour we got out and we went in the company. We welcomed the quests and everyone were congratulated Nate about his new company.

In one moment, Ivy and Michael arrived.

"Long time Ivy" Nate smiled to her and he hugged her

"Dude, you got shorter" she laughed

"No, you are wearing 5 inches heels" he laughed and he looked at her heels

"Haha, very funny" she said seriously "Congrats by the way" she smiled to him and she said hi to me and Kate

Michael just said hi to us and he of course smiled to me.

I went with Ivy to take some drinks

"Nate's still hot" she laughed

"Yeah, real man. I am kinda proud of him" I smiled

"Yeah. By the way, what's happened with Mike?" she asked me

"Nothing, that'll be in the past. End!" I said seriously to her

"I hope so"

"That's it Ivy, one mistake. Don't worry"

I was feeling bad of hiding the truth from her, but I needed to do that. She'll judge and everyone else will.

Then Michael came and we talked about usual stuffs.

"Oh look who is here" Ivy said to me. I turn myself back and I saw Jack "Who is she?" Ivy asked me about the girl that was with Jack

"His fiancee and Kate's good friend. I'll go and say hi to them" I said to them

"You are good with them?" Michael asked me

"Yeah, Nia is my friend too" I smiled to him

I went to say hi to them.

"And I thought that Kate was the most beautiful here." Nia laughed and she hugged me "Don't tell her" she laughed again

"Nia, so good to see you" I said to her "Jack!" I hugged Jack too

The party was great. Nate had successful company opening and from the next day he is going to start with work.

"Are we going to continue in some bar?" I asked Ivy when we were outside

"I need to meet with Luke" she said to me

"Oh, ok then" I said

Luke came and picked her and I left alone. I got in the car and then I saw Michael, but behind him were Kate and Nate. He just smiled to me. I wave to them and I started driving to home.

In one moment I got a message from Michael You know the way to my house right? I just laughed. He is so crazy and I liked it. I was going to die. Was I feeling in love with Michael again? I went to his house and I knocked on the door. After few seconds he opened it and he was in boxers.

"Cara" he smiled to me

"Nice legs" I laughed

"History repeat" he said and we got in the house.

"Feel like home. I was changing." he said and he went in his room.

"I can see it" I said

He got back after few minutes.

"It was a good party" he said to me and he sat near me

"Yeah" I smiled

He was just looking at me with a cute face

"Did you talked with Vicky?" I asked him

"Um not really"

"Yeah you'll wait her to find out. I know that story"

"You know that is not the same story. I'll talk." he said and he got closer to me

"I hope so" I said and he tried to kiss me "Nope" I pushed him away "Not until you talk with Vicky"

"Oh Cara. And now what we are going to look at each other all night" he laughed

"I can go if you want" I said to him and I stood up

"Oh hell no" he took my hand "You are not going anywhere"

I was in his house a few hours. We talked, but now about the future. He planed his life with me.

"Michael how can you plan all this in just two weeks?" I asked him, because I was surprised from the things he was dreaming for.

"I am not planing that for two weeks. I am planing my future with you from the first moment I saw you Cara and I never stopped." he said and he caressed my hair and my face

"What are you doing to me?"

"I just never stopped loving you" he said and he gave me a a short kiss on the lips

After few hours there I left. I didn't want Nate and Kate to suspect something.
