The Promise

Part 72

Next morning when I woke up I turn my phone off immediately. I saw that I have a few voice messages from Michael. He was explaining that this time is not the same and in one message he said to meet him in his beach house or in mine. That was really 'good' good morning to me. I dressed my self and I got out of the room. Kate and Nate wasn't in the house. I found one paper on the table that was saying that they went early to make the last preparations before the opening of the company. The next day was the opening and the party about it. I didn't have any plan for today, so i decided to went and help them.

I arrived in the place and I saw it for the first time in life. I had seen only a pictures from it.

"Oh look who is here" Nate smiled to me when he saw me

"When you don't want to invite me to see your own company" I looked at him seriously, but I was kidding with him

"Anyway, you know the way to here" he laughed "Come on, let me show you the place" he said to me and we went inside

It wasn't that big, but it was very beautiful.

"And my office will be?" I laughed

"will be made when you start work here" he smiled

"I know, I am kidding" I smiled to him and then Kate came.

"Good you came. I needed help anyway" she said to me and she looked a little bit tired.

"Kate go and get some rest. I'll do everything" I said to her

"Yeah baby. You look really tired" Nate said and he kissed her in the cheek

"I'll go, but first let wait to the drinks for tomorrow" she smiled

"You didn't took catering?" I asked them

"Yeah, we took, but they say that they will start with the preparations today" said Nate

In one moment we heard that some van arrived, probably from the catering company Kate and Nate got out and I left inside and I was still looking around in the rooms.

"Mate, is just another more job, just one more hour" I heard unfamiliar voice getting inside and kinda yelling

"No way mate, this is my last job today" I heard Michael's voice when I got close to them "I have plans for later" said Michael to the boy that was with him

I was hiding from them I didn't want Mike to see me. By the way what the hell was he doing there. He probably works there too.

"Mike thank you so much" Nate came inside too. Kate was with him too. I was praying to not tell Michael that I am here too.

"Anytime mate" Michael smiled to him

Kate was only looking at the boxes they left on the floor

"Cara, come here. This will be your job" Kate was looking for me. Great she said, just great.

"Cara, she is here too" Michael asked Kate and she looked around

"Excuse me?" Kate looked at Michael curiously "Oh you are Michael" she said when she got that is Michael

"Thank you Kate" I said to her when I stopped hiding behind the walls. They all looked at me and Michael made his cute smile

"Let's go Michael, another more." the man with Michael said

"Like I said mate, my work today is done. I have plans" he said and he looked at me. Probably he was thinking about the meeting we need to have later.

"That's will be easy Kate. I'll be done in an hour" I said to Kate about the boxes and I looked at Michael.

"Actually mate, let's go. But that'll be the last one" said Michael and they left.

"Oh, Cara, I am sorry. I didn't knew." Kate tried to apologize to me

"No problem Kate" I smiled to her

"What did I miss?" Nate asked us

"Nothing" we both said

Later Kate went home and I stayed with Nate to finish the preparations.

When we were done I went to the beach house. I didn't know why I am going. Because of Michael or what?

I arrived there and I couldn't see Michael anywhere, so I went to my parents' beach house. Suddenly I saw Michael sitting on the stairs in front of the house.

"You came" he smiled to me

"Yeah, I came" I said and I sat next to him

"Michael" I said

"Cara" Michael said in the same time like me

We both laughed just for a second and we stopped

"You cheated on Vicky like you did to me" I looked at him

"That's not the same Cara"

"Yeah, it is." I said

"It's not. I wasn't drunk last night, I knew what I am doing" he looked me in the eyes

"How do you mean? You used me" I kinda yelled at him

"I didn't. I was doing what my mind and my heard was saying"

"You are crazy. Stop talking nonsense" I said to him

"It's not nonsense, just remember about last night. How beautiful it was" he looked at me and he took my hand.

"Don't, please"

"Why not?" he said, then he caressed my face and he kissed me.

"I have a few conditions" I said when he stopped kissing me

"What do you mean? We can be together" he looked me curiously

"You'll broke up with Vicky without hurting her, if is that possible and no one will know about us, at the beginning" I said to him

"Only that?" he kinda smiled

"Yeah, but Vicky"

"Cara, I want to be with you" he caressed my face again and he gave me a small kiss on the lips "We don't have so strong relationship with Vicky anyway"

"I don't know. Just try not to hurt her" I said to him and I was still kinda worried

"You are going to sleep here in the house right?" he asked me

"No, I need to go. Tomorrow is the opening" I smiled to him

"Oh, yeah."

We spend a few hours there talking about a lot of stuffs. We had so much things to talk about and so much things I didn't know about him.

"So what we are now?" he asked me with a cute smile on his face

"For now we are just friends..." I looked at him "...with benefits" I smiled and he laughed

"And for later?" he was still smiling

"Later about later" I smiled. He kissed me and he hugged me.

Then I got back at Nate's house and he left there.
