One minute I'm sleeping and the next I was awoken by the worst sound known to man; my alarm clock. My eyes fluttered open as the bright morning sunlight leaked through Karls blinds. I squeezed my eyes shut tight once again and turned around in his arms, burying my face in his chest, "what's wrong?" he mumbled not bothering to open his eyes, "it's too bright." I sighed, cuddling further into his side as he tightened his grip around me. "I know, I wish we could go back to sleep too but we have a lot to do before Tucker's party tonight." he said softly, rubbing his hand up and down my back. After a few more minutes of laying there we sat up and got out of bed. "I'm gonna go use the guest bathroom." I said, walking over to the desk to grab my overnight bag, "are you sure, mines nicer, I can use the guest shower if you want." he offered, pulling off the shirt he wore to bed and tossing it into the laundry hamper near his closet.
"no it's okay, the guest one is fine. I'll be out in like half an hour, don't start breakfast without me." I told him to which he nodded before I went down the hall to the guest bathroom. I started the water and stripped before going onto Spotify and pressing shuffle. The first song to come up was 3 nights by Dominic fike and I immediately started jamming. I sang along with him as I washed my hair and shaved, I got out 15 minutes later and quickly dried my hair before putting on my clothes for the day and going downstairs. "don't look at me, I'm not ready yet." I chuckled as I walked into the kitchen and opened the the fridge. "what do you mean don't look at you?" he said, coming up behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist, "well my makeup isn't done and neither is my hair." I explained, letting my eyes scan over the items in his fridge until I saw him leaning around me to look.
"Karl, stop." I laughed, using my hand to block the side he was on. "I've seen you without makeup on before, why are you being shy?" he asked, pouting as he grabbed me by the wrist gently and turning me to face him. "you saw me in a dark car or in your room at night, not first thing in the morning under these bright ass lights. I look like a mess." I said, suddenly feeling uncomfortable. "you never look like a mess, you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen." his spoke softly, giving me the courage to finally meet his eyes and I could tell he was being sincere. "if you say so." I finally relented with a small smile making him pull me into a hug, "that's my girl." he gushed, pulling away only to shower my cheek with multiple kisses until I eventually pushed him away, "okay hurry up and eat, we've got a lot to do today." I laughed, wiping my cheek in fake disgust.
"okay okay." he laughed, raising his hands in defence before reaching past me into the fridge and pulling out milk, "I'm gonna have cereal, are you cool with that?" he asked, setting the carton down on the counter and going into the cabinet, "yeah, what do you have?" I asked, grabbing 2 bowls and placing them on the counter beside the carton. "I have cheerios, cinnamon toast crunch, -" he started listing off the cereals when I got a face time call from Katie, "Karl, come here." I motioned him over before hopping up onto the counter. He came and stood beside me as I answered the call, seeing Tucker sat in his high chair holding a fork in one hand and a piece of pancake in the other, "happy birthday!" we exclaimed, drawing Tucker's attention to the phone. He shoved the bite into his mouth before making grabby hands at the phone. "say hi to aunt Dani and uncle Karl." Katie said as she flipped the camera towards her and went to sit beside Tucker, angling the phone so they were both in view.
