Chapter 7

"Ayyy!" the crewmates yelled as we won another round, "what the hell was that George!" Sapnap yelled through broken laughter, "I didn't see that the camera was on." George yelled back in defence causing us all to laugh harder, "we still could've won if Brooke didn't walk in on you." George shot back, "I had to bring justice to my girl Dani, I wasn't just going to let you get away with that Sap." she responded and I coo'd "aww, thanks Brooke!" I exclaimed making kissy sounds into the mic causing her to laugh and make them back. Just then my phone beeped telling me I got a text. I looked down to see that Karl had sent me the 5 minute warning message. "ok guys, just give me a second to end my stream then I'm going to rejoin on Dani's end of the call." Karl said to which everyone said okay and suddenly he's name went dark on discord.

"if we could hold off on starting the next round until I've started my stream that would be greatly appreciated." I said, feeling a little anxious about asking these people I've only known for an hour and a half to stop their streams for me. "of course! I've gotta use the washroom actually." Rae said before muting herself, "yeah, same." added bad, doing the same. Almost everyone went dark as I'm assuming they were either taking a stream break or just talking to their chat and I sighed in relief, grateful that they were all so nice to me but as Karl's friends I wouldn't assume any different. I walked over to the mirror to apply my lipstick one last time, a nervous tick I've had since I started wearing makeup before sitting back down into the chair. I typed my information into twitch and took a deep breath before starting the stream. As I expected no one showed up at first and I just left my screen dark until Karl walked in carrying his bin of nail polishes.

"hey, I told them to raid your stream in a minute so get ready." he said, sitting in the chair beside me and leaning across me to take the black screen off my computer. My breath caught in my throat for a moment as I saw myself come up on screen for the first time. I adjusted my shirt and hair before taking a deep breath. "they're going to love you, don't worry." he said quietly, reaching into my lap and lacing his fingers through mine making me instantly relax. Suddenly my viewer count went form 0 to 40,000. I smiled widely and waved at the camera. "hey guys, thank you all for coming to my first stream. My name is Danielle but I usually go by Dani or you can call me freckles whatever you're comfortable with. Before we get started I wanted to tell you all a little bit about myself. Since I'm assuming most of you came from Karl's stream and seeing as he's right here beside me it's obvious that we're very good friends, and may I emphasize friends, opinions are always welcome but please no shipping."

"We met through working for Mr. Beast and he's the whole reason we're here today so if you like me you'd have to thank him but if you hate me he's also to blame so... "I trailed off looking over at karl as he scoffed, flashing me a wide smile. "she's crazy guys, tell her she's crazy." he said, pulling the keyboard towards him and doing a bunch of stuff that we agreed on earlier like 5$ text to speech messaged and setting a 5,000 sub goal. Instantly the comments were flooded with mixed reactions and saying things like 'you're doing great so far' or 'karl talks about you all the time so it's cool finally meeting you'. Though others weren't so nice saying things like 'well this raid was a waste of my time' or 'why is she dressed like a 5 year old' but I skimmed over those quickly and tried to just focus on the positive. "for today im just going to play a few more rounds of among us with the gang then after that we're going to open chat up for a Q&A while we paint each other's nails." I explained flashing my bare nails to the camera as karl did the same.

"eventually you'll come to know this but I always have nail polish on so this is a big deal." I laughed, glancing over at karl as he rolled his eyes and taking my hand in his, examining the nails. "yeah, it's definitely weird seeing you with no nail polish on. Dani was the first person to ever paint my nails so you guys, especially those who watch my alt streams have her to thank for that." he gushed, "okay, let's get back into the game shall we." I clapped my hands together and unmuted. "okay I'm back and I have Karl and his stream with me." I chuckled as everyone yelled hellos back to me. The round loaded up and I got jester making me smile as Karl gasped, jumping up and down in his chair. "guys, incase you joined my stream late and didn't catch Dani's insane impostor win, she's amazing at this game. That win was impressive but you guys haven't seen her be jester yet, it's honestly so cool to watch." he said, leaning on the desk as I ran down into electrical and went to stand on the vent, bouncing up and down on it causing him to laugh loudly, this is going to be fun.
