"you've got to be fucking kidding me." Karl groaned, dropping his phone in his lap and running his hands down his face. "what? What's wrong?" I asked, looking up from my Instagram comments at him. Right now we're say on the couch in my office, he's sat on the left side of the couch and I'm laid on the right, my legs draped over his lap. "Tareq called in sick today, he's supposed to be my guest on a GTA video." he finally pulled his hands away from his face before quickly replying to the message and closing his phone again. "I'm sorry love." I said, sitting up and taking his hand in mine. He perked up suddenly and squeezed my hand a little tighter, "would you be my guest instead? The fans loved you and i know they've been asking you to be in more stuff on twitch." he pitched the idea hopefully. I chewed on my lip, weighing my options. I've never been on a gaming video before so it could be fun but It would take a few hours out of my work day.

"I mean I'd love to but I don't know if Jimmy will let me with the other work I have to do today." I said letting go of his hand and leaning to my desk to grab my coffee. "I'll go ask, hold on." he said jumping up from the couch and since my legs were still on his lap I almost fell. "I'm so sorry Dan." he said trying to hold back a laugh as I struggled to get back up into a seating position. "it's okay, just go ask him idiot." I laughed once I finally made it back onto the couch. With that he ran off, almost bumping into David on the way out. He yelled a quick sorry as he continued on his mission to Jimmy's office while David looked at me with his eyebrows raised, "what's going on there?" he asked, walking past the couch and putting his bag and coffee on his desk, "oh he's just going to ask Jimmy if I can be in a video today." I said standing up from the couch and grabbing my coffee, tipping my head back to take a drink.

"no, I mean what's going on 'there'." he said, pointing between me and the door during the last word, making me do a spit take with my coffee, "ow, shit that burned my nose, how do you know this stuff, I literally see you once a month." I coughed, blowing my nose in an attempt to get the hot coffee out while he laughed at me. "I have eyes you know, you guys aren't exactly good at hiding it. When did you start dating?" he asked sitting down at his desk and logging into the computer. I hopped up onto my desk and looked over at him, "well first of all were not technically dating yet, we're just going out right now to see if we'd, fit as a couple because if you put a title on it and things don't work out I feel like it makes the situation... weird?" I hesitated, trying to find the best way to explain our situation, "yeah, I can see how that would make it weird, you guys are really good friends and I'd hate to see you lose each other if you weren't compatible in that way." he said, not looking up from the computer.
