Chapter 9

This last week had been kind of rough. The day after Izzy moved in I woke up feeling deathly ill. I went and got a covid test and I was negative but regardless I wasn't going to go into work. Being stuck at home also meant that I didn't let to go to this week's tag video and I didn't get to meet sapnap. He stayed with Karl for 5 days and almost every day I got a facetime from them. It was mostly sapnap and I making stupid jokes while karl groaned that both his best friends were stealing each other from him. He went home a few days so the face times from Karl have increased which honestly I'm not complaining, I love Sierra and Isabella but I've missed all the boys at the office. I woke up this morning feeling exponentially better, like a switch had been flipped. I hopped in the shower and washed my hair while singing horribly to alrighty Aphrodite by peach pit.

When I got out I threw on sweats and put my hair in a towel before making my way into the kitchen to make breakfast. I listened to Izzy's zoom call coming from the living room aka her new bedroom while I poured myself a bowl of cereal. While I was putting everything away I heard my face time ring and saw Karl's contact picture come up. My eyes widened as I threw the hair turban off and adjusted myself before grabbing my bowl and picking up the call. "hey, one sec, let me get to my room." I whispered and I speed walked back to my room. I put my cereal bowl down on the bedside table before closing the door and flopping back into my unmade bed, "okay you're good." I said before an ear shattering 'hi I miss you!' came through my phones speaker. "Jesus karl, warn a girl next time you plan on yelling like that, I'm gonna get noise complaints." I laughed, shaking my head at him.

"I'm sorry, it's just that it's been 8 days since I've seen you and it's really bumming me out." he pouted and I let an 'aww' escape my lips. "so would you say this isn't pog?" I asked, instantly cringing at the word, "oh no, this so isn't poggers Dani. You look better today though, how are you feeling?" he asked we I sat up, leaning my phone on a pillow and grabbing my bowl. "I'm actually feeling about a million times better, it's like a switch flipped." I snapped my fingers at the last word before shoveling a bite into my mouth. "well if you're feeling better why don't you come over for a sleepover again tonight, maybe we can finally bake something like you suggested last time and if you're feeling up to it Sapnap wants us to spectate a video he's filming tomorrow." he said and I nodded immediately, more than ready to get out of this house.

"oh hell yeah, that sounds so fun. I'm planning on streaming in a bit, just a short one, maybe play some fall guys or something just so I can touch base with twitch again because I honestly miss it." I sighed, taking another bite of my cereal. "let's go! See, I told you that you'd love it. Okay come by for like 6 so we have time for dinner and I'll go to the store in a bit to get baking supplies." he said and I just nodded along as I finished my cereal. "okay, I'm going to get ready now to stream but I'll see you tonight k!" I exclaimed happily and picked my phone up again, "see you later D!" he said back and with one last wave we both hung up. I sat for a minute with a stupid smile on my face before standing up and doing another dance, our last sleepover was really fun but now I'll get to spend the whole time with him so it's bound to be even better.

I went to the washroom to dry and straighten my hair before doing my makeup and getting dressed. "I'm gonna be streaming for the next few hours." I called out to Izzy as I grabbed a monster from the fridge. "okay!" she called back as I walked back into my room and put my monster down on the desk. Over the last week I ordered everything I'd need for a basic streaming set up and put it all together yesterday. Sure, it's not as good as Karl's but it'll do until I start doing twitch more seriously. Last thing to do was take a picture to post on Instagram letting everyone know I was about to stream as I really don't like twitter (brave yet controversial opinion. I know, I know, don't hate me please) after doing various poses in front of the mirror for 10 minutes I finally took a decent one. I flopped back onto my desk chair and edited the picture I chose before posting it.
