Vivi looked at me, "Well, now what are we supposed to do?" she asked me. I looked at the mess made by the pirates, "I'm unsure myself. I also don't know how safe we will be going through this battlefield." I said softly. Vivi swallowed, "We have no choice, Evie, we need to pass." she said. Karoo started walking slowly and I followed close beside with my sword out in case I needed it. We slowly passed about halfway through before both pirates busted out of their buildings on either side of us. Vivi screamed and I readied my blade as they drew closer to us. They connected in front of us as they continued fighting, Zoro dodging Luffy's kick skillfully.
They kept up their fighting as I watched in awe, "Wow! They may not be the brightest tools in the shed, but they both have serious power." I complimented and Vivi looked at me, "You are enjoying this way too much, Evie." my twin deadpanned. My smile faded when I noticed Mr. 5 and Ms. Valentine were both back on their feet and my eyes widened, "Oh no!" I gasped. Mr. 5 and Ms. Valentine charged towards the fighting pirates shouting but just the glares from both Luffy and Zoro was enough to make them freeze in their tracks. Luffy and Zoro both smacked Mr. 5 and Ms. Valentine so hard, that they sent the Baroque Works' agents flying into buildings.
I felt a shiver down my spine as I stared, slackjawed, at the pirates, "Th-these pirates are terrifying." I breathed and Vivi watched in shock as both men stood frozen a moment after smacking the agents, "Damn pests." Zoro said, his voice low. Luffy tightened his fist, "Messin' with our fight." he ground out. Vivi was the first of us to speak, "They took them both down again." she said softly, fear lacing her tone.
"Unbelieveable." I whispered as my hand that was gripping my sword began to sweat. The men were preparing to fight more, when, suddenly, the same women from before, appeared. Nami punch Zoro and Shae punched Luffy as they both shouted in anger, "STOP!" Shae and Nami both were seething with anger as they glared at the two men on the ground before them, "You two! What the heck do you think you're doing here?" Shae demanded, her fiery temper leaking out, "It's lucky for you that you managed to keep those girls safe."
"You almost lost us all a billion berries! You understand?" Nami chimed in as Shae deadpanned, "The berries? That's what your worried about, Nami?" she asked and sighed before glaring at the men that Nami now held up in her hands. I sighed in exasperation as Vivi blinked, "What do you mean? What berries? I don't understand. Why did you save us?" Vivi asked. Nami smiled at us, "About that. I think we all three need to have a little chat." Nami grinned as Shae facepalmed.
"See, we have to work out a contract for a reward." Nami explained as Shae punched Luffy and Zoro hard on top of their heads, making Nami drop them and the men crash into the ground, "Knock it off!" Shae shouted. Vivi was still looking at Nami, "What? But..." Vivi trailed off softly. I took a couple steps forward, "Look, Nami, it isn't that simple," I began as Shae yanked the men to their feet and began yelling at them for fighting at all. Nami cut me off, "Look, Princess Evie, If you want our protection it'll cost ya a billion berries, I cannot waver the price." she explained and I sighed as I hear Luffy laughing behind her.
