My amused smile faded, "Oh no! You boys are not dragging me into this!" I stated as I crossed my arms. They both dropped the tails of their game, "Evie! We need you to decide for us!" Sanji exclaimed and I shook my head, "Not happening, boys. I'm not part of this little competition, I just wanted to enjoy the island." I said smirking at them.
"Oh! Come on, Evie!" Zoro exclaimed as I smiled sweetly at him. His cheeks reddened and he quickly looked away as I giggled, and he resumed his arguement with Sanji. Their arguement ended in them heading out to hunt more dinosaurs, "Come on, Evie." Zoro called and I followed after him.
We searched around the trees together when we heard the sound of laughter. I immeditely grabbed onto Zoro's arm, "What was that? Laughing?" Zoro asked as we peered up at the treetops, " Thats what it sounded like." I agreed, "First, that long, strange earthquake and now this creepy laughing sound? What's going on in this place? What kind of creatures live here?" Zoro asked. I shrugged, "No idea, but there are dinosaurs here. Who knows what else we will see." I pointed out, still holding onto his toned arm.
"Well, that damn cook's still hunting out there. Maybe he'll run into one of those monsters." Zoro remarked and I smacked him in the back of his head, "Don't say that, Roronoa Zoro!" I scolded him and Zoro laughed, grinning at me in amusement, "Cute. You think your smack is hard enough to hurt me." he teased and I gritted my teeth, "Shut up! Come on." I said as I walked ahead, pulling him along.
We hunted for another while, before the volcano erupted, signaling the end of the hunt, "Well, damn. I guess our time is up." Zoro grunted as he stepped on something making it whine. We looked down at the baby dinosaur and I smacked Zoro, "Watch where your stepping, Zoro! He's a baby!" I scolded as Zoro glared at me, "I didn't mean to!" he argued and looked at the baby again, "Sorry, buddy." he said.
The baby dinosaur clamped down on his foot, making Zoro shout in pain, "Ow! God, let go! I said I was sorry! I don't have time to mess around with this!" Zoro was shouting as I laughed at him. However, my laughter was cut short by a roar behind me. I froze up and turned around, coming face to face with, what I assume is the baby's momma.
I gasped and stumbled back, falling on my bottom as the angry Dinosaur stalked towards me slowly, "Zoro!" I cried out as he was still shouting at the baby on his foot. Zoro looked over and saw the dinosaur then he yanked the baby off and tossed it before sprinting towards me, "Evie!" he shouted as the dinosaur lounged at me. I screamed and Zoro suddenly cut through it, killing it instantly. He put his swords away and came to my side, "Evie, are you okay?" he asked worriedly. I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him tightly, "I'm okay. Zoro, sorry I've been such a pain." I said softly.
Zoro shook his head, "You're not, Evie." he said softly as he pulled away to look at me. He slowly stood up and took my hands in his, helping me to my feet. Once I was on my feet, our eyes met and for a moment, we stared into each other's eyes. I don't know what came over me, but I stood on my tippy toes and placed a gentle kiss on his cheek. I pulled away, my face warm, and smiled sweetly at him, "Thank you. You've been saving me since Whiskey Peak." I said softly then I pulled away and walked over to the dinosaur.
