Chapter 122

"You see anything, Usopp?" Luffy asked. We were all standing together as Usopp was searching for Jaya, "Nothing. Just the sky and the sea." Usopp answered. Zoro and I were standing together, holding hands, as he looked around, "I thought that Jaya Island wasn't too far from where we were." Zoro remarked, "It shouldn't be. And with the weather being so clear, we should've spotted the coastline over an hour ago." Nami explained. Luffy was laying on the figure head as Shae sat with Luffy's head in her lap, wearing his hat and playing with his hair, "I'm gonna like Jaya if it's as warm as it is now." Luffy said, as he looked up at Shae who was smiling down at him.

Chopper sat leaning on the railing next to the figure head, "I'm finally getting to work on my tan. Spring weather is the best." he said happily and I giggled. Suddenly, three seagulls fell from the sky and landed on the deck, unmoving, "They've been shot!" Chopper panicked. Luffy sat up and placed his foot on the railing, "Looks like we'll be eating good tonight." he remarked as Shae watched him. Usopp looked down at us, "I don't think they could've been shot, Chopper. I didn't hear any gunfire." Usopp pointed out as Chopper dug through the wound. He pulled out a bullet, "I found a bullet!" he exclaimed, showing it to Usopp.

"And judging by it's trajectory, it came from that way!" he added as he pointed into the distance where the ship was heading, "Are you saying the shots came from an island we can't even see yet?" Shae asked, "That's impossible, Chopper." I added. The reindeer shook his head, "But I saw it happen with my own eyes!" he protested. Usopp laughed, "A tuna had a better chance at killing them." he remarked, "No sniper or gun has that kind of range. They were probably shot before and just happened to fall now." he explained as Nami joined us.

"Hey, Sanji!" Luffy called out, "Look! We found our dinner!" he yelled as Chopper looked in the direction he believed the shots came from. A few minutes later, Usopp perked up, "Isand dead ahead!" he called. Luffy laughed, "Awesome!" he cheered", Check it out, this town looks great!" he said happily. Usopp had climbed down and was grinning, "Is it me, or does this place look like a resort?" he asked, "It sure does!" Chopper agreed and Luffy slapped the figure head, excitedly, "Hurry up and Dock!" he shouted, "It does look promising. Maybe we can even stay here awhile." Nami suggested.

" Look at those pirate ships." Jax said petting Yami as we got closer, "This place must be crawling with pirates." he added as we docked our ship. Luffy and Zoro disembarked, both grinning wickedly. Even Jax was grinning a crazy grin, "I like it." he said and Robin shook her head at him. I remained on the ship with everyone else as Jax disembarked with Yami following him, "Zoro, Luffy!" he called and chased after them with Yami. Nami shook her head, "There's no way." she said, flatly, "Do you think those three can last an hour without getting into any trouble? Especially with Yami following Jax?" she asked. Shae and I were sitting on the railing watching the men disappear, "Well, by the looks of this place, I'd say 15 minutes is a generous assumption." Usopp answered.

"You really think so?" I asked as I glanced down at him, "We'd better save them! Come on, Shae!" Nami shouted as she jumped off with Shae following, "Nami! Shae!" Usopp called out to the retreating women. Shae and Nami were sprinting ahead, "Luffy! Zoro! Jaxon! Yami! Wait for us! We're coming too!" they coursed as they chased the three men and giant wolf, "There they go." Chopper remarked, "Don't worry, guys. I'm sure they'll be fine with those four protecting them." I assured the guys, "I'm the only one who can protect Nami." Sanji said, trying to leave the ship.
