Chapter 117

I heard Zoro laugh, "Good idea, Jax, I second that." he said, "Shut up, you bastards!" Sanji shouted and I laughed, "Keep going." Nami said, interrupting the mens' bickering. Usopp's eyes widened, "They could die!" he panicked. Nami waved him off, "They'll be fine, Usopp. Don't worry." she assured him as Shae looked at Chopper, "And Chopper, hold that brake tightly." she instructed. Chopper nodded once, "Right." he said. Usopp rubbed his forehead, "I'm so glad they didn't make me go." he whimpered and Shae shrugged, "They simply don't need you, now that we have Jax." she pointed out.

I looked at Shae, "Well that was harsh, Shae." I remarked. Suddenly, a pirate ship approached us, chanting, "Salvage! Salvage the sea! Salvage! Salvage the sea!" Usopped looked towards the sound, "What's all that noise?" he asked as the chanting continued, "Sounds like chanting...and the banging of Cymbals." Shae observed as the ship sailed to a halt not far from us, "Company, halt!"the monkey man captain shouted. We looked towards the ship, "Great. A boat of unstable men led by an unstable monkey." Nami groaned. The monkey in question finally noticed us, "Hey! What are you guys doing here?" he demanded, "In case you didn't know, all these waters belong to me." he said. Yami looked up at the monkey and growled as Robin petted him, "Calm down, Yami." she said in a soothing voice and Yami relaxed, still growling.

Nami and Shae looked at each other with raised eyebrows, before they looked back at the monkey, "They do?" Shae asked, "Yeah, that's right! Every vessel that sinks in these parts automatically becomes mine." he answered and raised a brow at us, "You're not trying to take something that belongs to me, are you?" he asked. Robin looked at us, "So he's going to bring it to the surface." she observed, " Easier for us." she added. Usopp looked at Robin, "But not for the four guys already in the water." he remarked. Nami looked at everyone, "We should just keep our mouths shut and let him do it." she suggested.

"Stop mumbling and answer me!" the monkey shouted, "Are you people trying to yank one of my salvages out from under me?" he demanded, "Excuse me! Can I ask a question first?" Nami asked. The monkey's eyes widened, "You've got questions for me?" he asked, "Fine. Sure. Whatever. Ask me anything." he said, "Are all of you tough, good-looking men gonna salvage that ship?" Nami asked. The monkey whistled, "What?" he asked and grinned, "Thank you. I see that you know what a real man looks like." he said. Shae giggled and I shook my head in amusement.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, amused, "Your friend called us all tough and good-looking. That includes me." he remarked, "Well, of course!" Nami answered. The monkey looked away, his hand on the back of his neck as he rubbed it nervously, "Stop! you're making me blush!" he said and giggled. I covered my mouth to muffle my giggles as Usopp spoke, "This is disturbing." he remarked to me and Shae before looking at the monkey again, "So, are you gonna salvage that thing or what?" he asked. The monkey looked at him, "Of course! I'm not the King of all Salvagers for nothing!" the monkey shouted.

"If there's a sunken ship before me, then I'll salvage it! If it's not sunken, then I'll sink it and Salvage it later!" he boasted. I shook my head, "Now, I know how impressed you are, but we have to save it. There's salaging at hand!" he shouted and Shae scoffed, "Loser." she mumbled and plastered on a fake smile, "Do you mind if we watch you big strong men work?" She asked. The monkey raised his brow, "Huh? Don't tell me you've never seen a professional salvage before." he said and laughed it off.
