Chapter 45

Zoro and I had been training since the lady in the sled rode away. I was taking a break due to being exhausted when the Earth began to shake violently, "Zoro?" I asked uncertainly and he stopped mid count, "What's going on? What's all that rumbling?" Zoro asked as I stood up and hurried to his side, "I have no idea! Maybe an..." I trailed off and gasped, "An avalanche!" I realized when I saw the snow tumbling dow towards us. Before we could move, the avalanche reached us, "Evie!" Zoro shouted and grabbed me as the snow took us away, holding me close.

I busted out of the snow and looked around, "Zoro? Zoro! Zoro, where are you?" I called as I frantically searched the snow for him, "Zoro, answer me!" I begged as I dug for him. I heard voices approaching and turned around, "Vivi! Usopp!" I called and waved at them, "Evie!" my twin called as they approached, "I can't find Zoro anywhere!" I explained as they got closer. Vivi stepped on something that immediately moved, making her fall. The toned skin and scarred chest was enough for me, "Zoro!" I said happily and ran to him, hugging him tightly.

"I'm so glad you're okay." I said, "Evie? That was a close one. Why do I feel like I dreamed about a field of flowers?" he asked and I laughed, "It doesn't matter! All that matters is that you are still alive!" I said, planting a kiss on his cheek. Zoro looked at me as a light blush fell upon his cheeks, "Zoro? Evie?" Usopp asked. Zoro glanced over just now noticing them, "Oh, hey, Vivi, what's up?" he asked her and looked at Usopp.

Due to Usopp's swollen face, Zoro just stared at him in confusion and I giggled. After a full minute, realization dawned on Zoro, "Oh! It's you, Usopp." he said and I laughed at the look Usopp gave him, "What are you guys doing out here in the snow?" he asked, "That's what we were gonna ask you!" Usopp and Vivi said in unison.

"So that's what happened." Usopp said after I got done catching them up. Vivi sighed and shook her head, "How could you even consider that a good idea?" she deadpanned as I laughed, "It's Zoro, Vivi." I reminded her as Zoro glared at me. I looked at my twin, "By this time, the witch is probably back in her castle. We should head towards it." I suggested and the others nodded, then we headed out together.

I smiled in amusement as I watched Zoro and Usopp bicker about Usopp's coat, "Then how about your shoes?" Zoro asked.

"No.

"Just one, then!"

"I said no! Evie was right, you did this to yourself." Usopp said. Vivi's voice interruped their argument, "Look at that, guys. There are some people over there." She informed us. I looked away from the bickering duo and towards the direction my twin was indicating. I sighed in relief, "Finally." I said smiling, "Look at theose buildings. They seem familiar, don't they?" Usopp asked. I shrugged, "Not to me." I said.

Vivi gasped, "You're right, Usopp. This place is Big Horn." my sister said, "We just came back. It looks a lot different buried in snow, though." she said. By the water, a group of pirates were attacking the village, "This isn't good." I said, worriedly. Zoro headed into town and we followed him, "Hey, what's going on here?" Zoro asked. The villager looked at him, "Wait, what's goin' on with you?" the villager asked, dumbfounded by Zoro's half naked status.

"Dalton is buried under the snow that came down with the avalanche." another one explained. I raised my brow in confusion, "Dalton?" I asked. Vivi and Usopp panicked, "Oh no! Dalton!" Vivi exclaimed.
