Chapter 8 - The Truth

Chrissys pov -

"I seriously don't understand why you are dragging me to the trailer park! May I remind you he litterly cheated on me!" I said to Robin and she drove to the trailer park.

"Listen I know your annoyed an and I get that but, hear me out! Just, when we get there, keep your cool, I promise you whatever he tells you is one hundred percent the truth so please for my sake and Dustin's sake, just do it!" Robin said as she kept her eyes on the road.

"This is unbelievable." I said as I looked out the window. I looked at the trees and the birds, it was just about to be 6 pm and the birds were starting to settle down.

We soon arrived in Eddie's drive way. "Okay, look at me Chrissy." Robin said as she unbuckled her seat belt. I looked over at her and rolled my eyes. "I know what happened and I am not saying what he did was not wrong." She started. "But there is a reason it all happened you just have to have trust in me, Dustin, and... Eddie." She said, I looked at her like she was crazy. "I know, I know, it sounds insane and I know you don't want to trust him, but please, for my sake at least try." She said.

We got out of the car and Robin knocked on the door.

Eddie's pov -

"Eddie, it's gonna be okay!" Dustin said as I was pacing.

"But what if it's not, what if she hates me, never wants to talk to me again! What if she doesn't believe me!?" I said worried.

"If she doesn't then we will get Mike to tell the truth and El already knows what happened. Whatever happens she will know the truth. I'm also one hundred percent sure right this very second El is breaking up with Mike." Dustin said. I just looked at him.

That's when a knock came from the door. Dustin looked at me as he got up and answered it.

Chrissys pov -

The door opened and I saw Dustin. "Welcome lady's, come inside please." Dustin said as he winked at Robin thinking I didn't see.

There Eddie was sitting on the couch looking up at me with those big brown eyes.

"Alright we will leave you guys here. Hopefully you will understand Chrissy." Dustin said as he took Robin back to Eddie's room to give us some space. They closed the door behind them and it was silent.

"What do you want cheater?" I said as I stood by the front door looking away from him.

"I want to tell you the truth." He said as he stood up and walked towards me. I looked up at him.

"Take one more step and I will punch you asshole." I said firmly. There was a slight problem with what I said. No matter what I said or did Eddie could read me very well. He knows there is still love in me for him but I buried it as best I could.

"Okay, okay." He said "I did not want to cheat on you. I never would have if Mike..." He started as he looked at his shoes. "If Mike hadn't threatened me. He said if I didn't cheat on you so he could get with you, he would make El hurt me and I didn't want th that." He stuttered. He was crying.

"Eddie look at me." I said firmly. I could tell if he was telling the truth if he would just look at me. He is a terrible liar. "Eddie." I said as I stepped closer to him, closing the 5 foot gap between us. I was close enough to reach out for his shoulder. He looked up at me. I could tell by the look on his face he wasn't lieing.

"Oh Eddie." I said as I pulled him in for a hug. "I'm so sorry." I said. He buried his head in my neck and held onto me tight.

Dustin and Robin came out of the bathroom. "Good you guys made up, uhm we have a big problem." Dustin said as he and Robin walked towards us.

"What is it?" I asked confused looking at them, Eddie kept his head buried in the crook of my neck.

"El is on her way, with Mike." Robin said as she opened the door to walk out.

"Woah, woah, where are you going" I asked turning to look at her. Eddie let go for a second to let me turn around but then hugged me from behind and put his head back in the crook of my neck, I think he did it because he didn't wanna show that he was crying

"I'm going to go get Max next door." Robin said as she ran to Max's house.

"Okay guys Steve is on his way with Lucas and Will. Nancy and Johnathon are on their way to. Nancy might be able to talk to Mike about what he is doing. For now we need to hide Eddie because whatever Mike told El, El could kill Eddie and we don't want that soooo hide  -" Dustin said but that's when we heard car doors shut outside. Eddie lifted his head up.

"Eddie get behind the couch. We will keep her busy." I said as Eddie did as I said and got behind the couch.

"Don't worry guys its Steve and them." Dustin said as he opened the door for them. "Where the hell is Robin?" Dustin said to himself as he continued to look out the window.

That's when we saw El and Mike get off a bus and start walking over here.

"Shit!" Dustin said as everyone started to panic.

"Alright guys all we have to do is tell El the truth." Nancy said.

"No, no, El will only believe Max. She only trust Max more than Mike." Lucas said.

"Welp shit, I'm gonna die tonight." We heard Eddie say from behind the couch. Everyone gasped and turned around except for me and Dustin.

"Jesus that is terrifying." Nancy said. That's when the door got unlocked.

"El." We all said as Eddie ducked down behind the couch. We all looked at the door.

El walked in with Mike. "Where is Eddie?" El said confused.

"Yeah and what are you guys doing here?" Mike said confused.

"Mike, tell El the truth." I said firmly as everybody looked at me.

"Mike wouldn't lie." El said as she looked back at me. "Where is Eddie?" El asked.

We all looked at eachother.
