Chapter 18 - I Missed That

Eddie's pov -

It has been a week sense me and Chrissy last talked. Dustin and Robin have been visiting me, so has Nancy, even Max.

Dustin walked into my room that same morning. It was a Saturday, I had missed a week of school. My uncle didn't know because he was at his girlfriends house or work.

"Alright dude, that's enough, I'm not letting you fail this school year! Me and Robin have been covering for your ass for the past week. We have been telling the teachers you are very sick and have a severe stomach bug or some shit!" Dustin shouted.

"I'll just fail another one. Besides that means I'll get to spend more time with you guys." I said from under the covers.

"Dude, we don't wanna spend time with you if you are always sad! We miss dnd and the campaigns, we miss lunch with you, we all miss you." Dustin said as he took my covers off.

When he did I looked up and was about to shout at him but then I looked around. It wasn't just Dustin there, Nancy, Mike, Will, Lucas, Max, Robin, Steve, even El was there.

"W- what are you all doing here?" I asked surprised.

"Look, truth is, school is so boring without you, even Jason has shut his mouth now. People are worried about you believe it or not. You have to come back to school alright." Robin said.

"But what's the point of school if I can't, if I don't-" I started but Nancy interrupted.

"Look, we know what happened and we know you are upset about it, I get that. But, that doesn't mean you neglect all your responsibilities and stuff because of it." Nancy said. "We will leave for now, but if your not at school on Monday, we are going to tell the teachers what's really been going on." Nancy said as everybody started walking out, Dustin stayed.

"Dude, it's gonna be okay, alright. Chrissy doesn't sit with us anymore, she kinda found a new set of friends actually. And uh I do have some and news, she kinda got a boyfriend, her boyfriend being Jason." Dustin blurted out.

"Oh." Is all I could think of to say.

"You still gonna come to school?" Dustin asked.

"Yeah, yeah for sure." I said, I was in shock. "I just need some time alone." I said to Dustin. Dustin nodded and left to go do whatever he does on Saturdays.

Monday -

I walked into school looking like hell. I had eyebags and my eyes were red and puffy from crying. I wore my usual outfit, without the jacket this time. Just ripped jeans and my hellfire shirt.

Dustin ran up to my locker and hugged me. "You did it! You made it to school." Dustin said happily.

"Only cause someone basically forced me to." I mumbled as I put my backpack in my locker.

I look over to see. Chrissy and Jason making out next to her locker. Of course, who was I kidding, she's Chrissy, miss popular, I should have known this would happen.

That's when Chrissy looked over at me. I quickly looked away, closing my locker and heading to class.

Chrissys pov -

I was growing worried about Eddie. He hadn't been at school for a week and Jason and me got back together. I thought it would get me back to my house but it didn't, the only thing it got me was more trauma.

I got with Jason on Tuesday of last week. At first he was comforting, now he is abusive. He's hitting me and screaming at me when no one is around. And when I'm at his trailer that he stays at to watch movies, he always finds a way to hit or kick me. I had bruises on my stomach everywhere.
