Wooyoung scanned the office inconspicuously. Yunho and Jongho sat at their computers, sometimes exchanging ideas. Hongjoong was outside of the office, talking to officer park seonghwa.

He stood up trying to make his way outside without any questions thrown at him and when he successfully made it outside he sighed and observed the poster by the staircase and elevator. He checked at which floor the archives of cases was located and made his way to the basement by the staircase, not wanting to raise suspicion from others.

He was still worried of running into San, as he didn't see him since yesterday. When he woke up he wasn't there anymore, which he did expect and he didn't see him in the office, too.

When he reached the end of the staircase, he hold his ID card against scanner so the doors would open. He knew they could check his entrance so he made sure he had a reason to get down here.

Yunho told him about their struggles of the case they were handling and they had evidence in a folder so he tried to sneaked it out to have an excuse to enter the archive.

He saw the officer sitting before the entrance and went to him. He showed him his evidence.

"I would like to look into something." The officer checked his ID card and looked up at him.

"You're a rookie."

"So? How do you expect me to do my job if I'm not allowed to look into things." He countered at the officer, who sighed at him and opened the door.

"Not for long, rookies have limited time. And I'm looking at you from here." He showed him his laptop were he had a look inside of the archives.

"No problem, thanks." He made his way inside and scanned the room for the camera. Then he scanned the room for 2018 folders. There he saw a bit far from the camera a box for the year 2018 and made his way there. 2022 was a few boxes to the left so it wouldn't raise suspicion if he was in this corner.

He slid the box out and laid it on the table beside the shelf. He began looking through several folders sorted by cases. There was one for stealing, violence, illegality and then he found one for death caused by murderer.

He took a deep breath and opened it with shaking hands and took in the different cases of people. Each of them were listed with a picture of the victim and as he scrolled through the papers he took in the sight of his fathers.

He closed his eyes for a second when he saw his picture again after four years. He felt his heart aching and blinked the tears away.

Many people hold the pictures of the person close to them after their lost, but he never understood. He couldn't look at him. It only reminded him that his dad now was not here anymore. Somewhere he couldn't reach and he could never see him again. The realization was to much for him to deal with so he hid all his pictures somewhere he wouldn't look at.

A tear still slipped from his eyes as he looked at him again. Life was so unfair, only taking away people that are precious to him. He lost his mom, dad and his brother. He didn't have anyone by his side to love him like they did and his heart carried this empty feeling since his dad died.

He tried to concentrate and read the case through. When his dad died they were refusing to tell him what they found and what not, so he was sure they had more clue than they told him.

The sudden death of officer Jung Jae seok was confirmed to be caused by a culprit. Following evidence: footprints, bullets

The victim was shot three times into his heart, stomache and shoulder. No Chance of surviving; immediate death.

Crime scene: abandon streets in 115 yeongdeungpo  16-gil, Seoul in a dark district at 10 pm on 01.10.2018.

There were pictures listed and he read through the conclusion. The clothes of the culprit was burned in a container nearby, not giving away any fingerprints anymore. The cameras in this area were turned off, the man responsible for the camera recordings was found unconscious and later stated there was a masked man with a black car. He was considered tall, but that was all of the description.

He took out his phone and slightly hid it behind the shelf so it wouldn't be on camera and started making pictures of the pages and rushed everything inside and closed the box when he heard steps nearing and the knob of the door turning.

"Oh, I was just finished. Didn't find anything related." He made his way outside and went the stairs up.

San saw him when he looked at the poster and entered the staircase. He raised his eyebrow in suspicion, but he didn't follow him. He just listened by the staircase how long he was going down to know which floor he entered.

When Wooyoung came back San stared at him from his seat. He noticed his slightly red eyes and he acted like nothing happened. But San noticed his slightly tensed form and his light frown on his face. When he typed on his keyboards, his hands were also kind of shaking.

San was sure he was up to something and he wouldn't let him get away with it.

After a while he also stood up and went to the basement. He went to the officer and showed him his ID card.

"What was Jung Wooyoung up to?"

"Apparently he had evidence of a current case and wanted to look into something."

"Evidence?" He raised his eyebrows in confusion. Wooyoung only worked on the case of the teenager and there weren't any clues. San had already looked into it and why didn't he tell San if he'd found anything.

He also took a look inside but didn't find anything suspicious.

When it got late the others began parking there things calling it a day. There was only San and Wooyoung left in the room as San still scanned his every move.

Wooyoung seemed to have noticed so he raised his gaze up to him and tilted his head to the side in question.

"Do you have something to say to me?" He asked with raised eyebrows.

"Shouldn't I ask you that question?" San leaned forward in his seat folding his hands on his desk. He had an intimidating look on his face and raised an eyebrow back at Wooyoung.

He took in the slight but short panic on Wooyoung's face. His eyes were slightly widened and his mouth formed an 'o'.

"What do you mean?" He pretended innocently, but from the look of San's expression he knew he couldn't get away from this without giving a some kind of lie.

"Did you find any evidence of the case we're currently working on?" San asked in a slightly strict tone as he stood up.

'Shit, he must have seen me. Why would he suddenly ask for evidence..' he panicked when San made his way over to him.

"Cat got your tongue?" He asked with slight amusement, but his eyes were still dark.

"No- I..." he averted his eyes away when San stood in front of him and leaned down on his desk. Their faces were close and Wooyoung didn't know where to look.

"Answer me." He demanded in a cold tone and gripped his jaw so he would look at him.

Wooyoung widened his eyes in shook and he felt his neck and ears warming up. He was overwhelmed, even more by the dark and strong gaze San used to look down at him and his cologne surrounding him, blinding his senses.

Shit, he thought, get yourself together.

"I don't have any evidence." He answered with a luckily stable voice. San raised his eyebrows at him yet again.

"Are you sure?" Slightly leaning in, San scanned his face for any give away he was lying.

Wooyoung shortly faltered by his gaze and he could see San's light smirk, showing a dimple on his right cheek.

"Yeah.." wooyoung whispered scolding himself for his weak tone.

Finally, San leaned back and looked down at him, letting go of his jaw. He took in his flustered state, suddenly completely silent compared to his loud acts before.

"So this is how you shut up, huh? Good to know." He said with a smirk and turned away, Wooyoung still staring at him with big eyes and warm cheeks.
