On the next day, Wooyoung's mission was to convince San to go Soo-min's family after their argument yesterday. He was convinced that San's idea of rich family's was too far fetched and he guessed he must have a bad experience with rich people. He grabbed his coffee from the canteen on their floor and entered the office. He greeted Yunho, when he saw him sitting at his desk and scanned the room for san. To his surprise he was nowhere to be found, which was surprising as san more often than not lives in this office.
"You know where San is?" he asked Yunho and sat down at his own desk.
"He was kind of stressed this morning, when he tried to contact some parents. They weren't willing to listen and he got kind of.. very angry." Yunho reported as he typed away, the keyboards filling the quiet space as he found himself quite speechless.
Seems like his mission for today was kind of useless. He didn't expect San to contact them first let alone do it even after his angry stance yesterday. It seems like today he's very angry again and Wooyoung was left to wonder what he hid inside of him. Why was he so annoyed when talking about rich people, wooyoung wondered.
"But he went out for fresh air so he should be here soon," Yunho added and received a nod from Wooyoung.
When San got back from his short break, he didn't sit down instead grabbing his coat from his chair. Wooyoung followed his movements with his eyes and San didn't even glance at him, as he made his way outside.
"We are going to Soo-min's family." And left the room with that. Wooyoung rolled his eyes at his attitude and stumbled behind him, Yunho laughing behind him.
He tried to keep up with San's pace and damned his long legs internally.
"I didn't expect you to act first. Honestly I knew you wouldn't make a mistake like that. It's pretty logical to question her family. What make you change your mind?"
San didn't glance back at him and entered the car with an irritated expression.
"Shut up and get in."
Wooyoung scoffed at his demanding behaviour and was reluctant to listen to him, but it wasn't the time to be rebelling. He entered the car and took an angry glance at san.
"You're so mean."
"You're annoying."
Wooyoung opened his mouth, feeling offended. He hated being called annoying. It was his nature to be loud and curious. He rolled his eyes yet again and slumped into his seat with crossed arms and glanced outside, the opposite way from San.
After that, the ride to the Vila was very quiet to San's relive and when they arrived Wooyoung exited the car like the dramatic person he is. San followed closely behind and they went to the guard at the gate. When they showed their ID-card as the police they were greeted inside. A maid lead the way inside into the living room and Wooyoung glanced around, fascinated at the sight and size of the room alone. His whole apartment would fit inside, he thought as he glanced to the unimpressed and tensed san.
After a while an elder woman and man entered the room. When they made eye contact, they already looked very irritated and there grew a little smirk on San's face.
"We already informed you that we don't know anything and we don't have the time to talk to you," the woman stated in a bored tone. Wooyoung lifted his eyebrows in disbelief.
"She's your daughter, you're responsible for her well-being. We are saying she is reported as lost, and you don't even bother to care?" He asked in slight shock, not expecting San's assumptions to be right. San only scanned both with very critical eyes.
"Who says we don't care? I'm so worried for my poor child..," the woman suddenly cried out with the man beside her trying to comfort her. San let out a loud scoff and threw some papers on the table.
"Now if you're finished with your acting, let us get to the useful part. Your daughter Soo-min is lost since two whole weeks and was reported missing from the school. When they contacted you, you also reported she wasn't at home. When was the last time you saw her?" San asked them in a hard and cold voice.
Her dad sat down with a sigh and had a bored look on his face.
"She went to school, but didn't come back. At first we thought, she was just visiting a friend or faking it again for attention. The rest of the situation is already familiar with you as it seems. Now that we don't have more useful information, i have work to get back to."
"That's all? And you didn't bother looking for your daughter?" Wooyoung asked furiously, and couldn't sit still. San gave him a warning glance and he shut his mouth.
"what did you expected us to do? I'm a busy business man and I'm not going to run after a sick in the head girl." The man stated and was cut of when his phone began ringing. He glanced at the detectives as if to prove his point that he's a busy man, but when he took in the caller's name on the phone his face dropped and he furiously stood up. He walked of and the woman lead both to the door.
San glanced at Wooyoung and when they met eyes he pushed him against a vase. His fall caused the vase to fall and break. Soo-min's mother shrieked in shock and crouched down.
"Not my precious vase... do you know how much the price was!? I could buy your whole existence with this vase!" The woman screamed at him and Wooyoung glanced at San confused at his sudden act, but when he understood he sneaked out a little camera and slit it across the floor to where san stood.
San looked back at Wooyoung, a little taken aback, but picked it up and sneaked out to where the man walked off to.
He followed the furious whisper through the hallways San when he was near enough he searched for something to put the camera into, so it wouldn't be seen. Then he saw the painting on the wall and put it on top of it. When he was sure that they wouldn't find it at first glance he continued listening to the whisper inside of the room.
"How many times do i have to warn you about calling me!... please, leave me alone i don't have what you're searching for!.. No, i don't care about that. Keep her-"
He couldn't continue listening when he heard steps nearing and he entered the first room in his reach. When he was inside he sighed in relive when he saw that it was a bathroom. He flushed the toilet and exited the room and faced the mother. She looked at him suspiciously and scanned the surroundings.
"I'm sorry, i was searching for a toilet." He gave her a kind smile and went back to where Wooyoung stood in front of the door.
"Let's go." They quickly went out and to the car. They buckled up and San started the car with a smirk on his face. Wooyoung noticed and lightly scoffed.
"You know, you owe me something. My ears nearly fell off and my butt hurts." He stated and to his surprise San had amusement in his eyes when he began driving.
