When Wooyoung entered the police station he wasn't expecting to be pulled out of his reality he created in his mind so soon. He knew sooner or later he had to sneak out information, but as soon as he entered this world he had always imagined himself working at, fighting for justice and put bad people in their place, his cruel reality was already forgotten.

But now that he is face to face with the all to familiar phone number that made all his sleeps restless, he was forced to face the cruel reality.

The officer turned to them and showed the displayed number on the screen.

"That's the number he was talking to." His heart dropped and he began shifting on his feet, not being able to stay still.

What was going to happen now? How is he going to work on this case without looking suspicious to san?

Wooyoung glanced at San, who was leaning against the wall with a strong look. His arms were crossed and his eyes had a cold distant look, causing Wooyoung only to get more nervous.

When they were back at the office, Wooyoung began noticing his weird behaviour. Even though he was fiddling the whole way here, acting suspicious, San wouldn't notice anything. He looked so immersed in his own thoughts and his eyes were so dark, Wooyoung didn't even have the guts to ask him about it.
He wondered what his connections with the person behind the number was, what caused him to react like this and how that would affect his work for Choi.

San sat down and wooyoung slowly followed his actions. Jongho was sitting in the room and typing away and he wished he could disappear. When he saw San going through his hair, letting out a deep sigh, looking conflicted, Wooyoung felt sorry for him.

All his hard work was going to go to waste, because if he doesn't pass on all the information he finds out, he'll put Kyungmin in danger. San would always say that he'd interfere with his life and he couldn't agree more. Now that he's obligated to interfere in his work, everything he'll do will be useless. Sometimes he wished he never met San, so he couldn't stand in the way, but now it really got him thinking.

Why was this bothering him so much?

Wooyoung wasn't someone, who would live his reality in denial and lie to himself. He had a decent amount of self-awareness and he knew that his morals and his father were by far not the only indicator for him to feel this bad about doing something bad. Isn't that what he wanted? Not like that, but since when did he feel bad for San and since when did he start to care so much?

But something he was sure of, was that San had his walls up, hindering anyone to get too close to him. He didn't let anyone in and to add on to his obvious trust issues didn't sit right with him. He knew somewhere San was vulnerable, too, no matter how hard he tried to hide it from everyone including himself.

Because that's were he's coming from, too.

He felt guilt building up, making it hard to breath. He glanced up at San and tried to figure out what he should do next. Just act like it's nothing, he tried to tell himself as he felt anxiety creeping up.

"Are going to call them?" He knew it was a dump question, but he couldn't think of anything better when San's dark gaze met his even before he opened his mouth. San took him in for a moment and Wooyoung held his breath. He always had the feel that san could look straight through him and felt himself shuddering under his gaze. He alway had this suspicious look, which made him hesitate.
He wasn't even expecting him too call them as he apparently had some kind of relationship with them.

"No, we don't call them. They could be someone that would recognise us and we don't want that. The plan is to act like a customer trying to buy some of his drugs and meet him through that." It was all logical, but how was he going to face them? San still had his hard look on him and the next words he muttered out caused him a shiver to run down his spine and he clenched his hands.

"What if you called them? They wouldn't know you."

Wooyoung opened his mouth and closed it again. Speechless, he formed his lips into a line. San's gaze was still on him and suddenly he heard a voice come from the other side of the room.

"I don't think that would be a good idea, as he could have worked with them in his previous job. As you already said, we don't call them and that includes Wooyoung," Jongho informed and Wooyoung almost sighed in relief.

San glanced between Jongho and him and looked like he was trying to figure out something when his phone began ringing. He looked down his phone and went out of the room. Wooyoung closed his eyes and tried to calm himself down when he heard a sigh coming from Jongho. He also stood up and began stretching.

"Want to join us for lunch?"

Both sat down at the table where Yunho
and Hongjoong were already seated with their foods and wooyoung was greeted with smiles and he already knew what was waiting for him.

"So... how is it going with our Sanni?" Hongjoong asked with a teasing smile on his face and Wooyoung didn't expect them to have a cute nickname for someone as cold and stiff as San. It put a small smile on his face, but if seemed like someone took it the wrong way.

"Ohh, i think they're already further then we expected them to be!" Yunho said in excitement and Wooyoung instantly shook his head. He wasn't sure in what way he said that, but he wasn't too sure if he wanted to know it, too.

"Stop, he's getting shy!" Hongjoong hit Yunho's arm and he began rubbing it in pain.

"No no no, not at all... I.. it's going better than expected and he's pretty... bearable, I guess." He didn't know why his cheeks started to feel warm or why he's getting nervous, but one thing is for sure.
Mingi would perfectly get along with them.

"That's all? I expected for you to come cry to us about him. At least that's what it looked like at first," Jongho stated offhandedly, eating his food while he was getting warmer by every second. He wanted to hit himself for the way his body reacted.

"On yeah, but i guess i managed to shut him up," he laughed it away like it was nothing, but it seemed like they didn't take it that well. He teared his gaze away form the peering eyes and tried to busy himself with his food.

"How did you do that?" Hongjoong asked in an amazed tone, but the other two didn't seem that impressed.

"Didn't you see the way he acted with San since the first day? I'm actually glad San had to eat his own words after a good while," Yunho stated with a satisfied sigh and leaned back. "What I'm actually surprised about is the way he acts with you. I didn't expect him to drop his doubts about you so soon. You wouldn't want to know what we had to go through to make him losen up a little, because that was a whole lot of work."

"I agree. When we first met him, he did not accept any help from us, because of his doubts. It's weird to see him accept you so soon," Jongho added and the others nodded with a smirk.

And suddenly his appetite was gone and the heavy felling in his chest only grew. So San was warming up? Why did it make him feel more guilt than relieve? He wished he would continue hating him. He should have started making his live worse so he didn't have any trust in him. He could have just said to Choi, that San just didn't share any information. He knew he was being illogical, but any option would be better than to gain the trust of him only to betrayal someone already so broken. Of course, that's only his assumptions, but every time he looked into his eyes, he knew he was not the one he seemed to be.

His eyes hid so many emotions, that's why he couldn't handle looking into them. Because he only saw a reflection of his own fears and pain. He could only handle lying to one person and that was himself.

He let out a nervous laugh and quickly shook his head, "No, I don't think that's the case. He really appreciates you guys and i wouldn't manage to get to your place. I think, it isn't about me."

The others didn't look convinced, but didn't see the point in embarrassing him further so they dropped the topic to his relief.

Before he could get back to his food his phone began vibrating in his pocket and when he took a look at the caller his eyes darkened.

Choi.
