It was dark, quiet and cold. The only sound he could hear was water dripping somewhere on the ground and the threes because of the cold breeze. That was the first thing Wooyoung noticed when he tried to open his eyes, but was faced with nothing but darkness. He tried turning his head to see something, anything, but he was surrounded by darkness.
His body felt stiff, unable to move an inch from its place and only then he was aware of the heavy cloth on his face, preventing him from seeing anything. Around his body were ropes clinging him to the chair he was sitting on and his hands were bounded behind himself around the back of the chair.
"Kyungmin?" He spoke out with a trembling voice, almost too quiet, too afraid of having no one answering him.
He felt his heart sink and lightheaded because of the fear he was feeling at that moment, realizing that his worst nightmare has become reality because of his recklessness.
This was it. He was unable to protect Kyungmin. He was going to die because of him.
He began shaking all over and the cloth around his eyes were soaked in his tears as he began fidgeting in his seat, trying to free himself.
"Kyungmin!" He called, this time way louder than before, his voice laced with panic and pain when he suddenly heard footsteps coming his way.
He breathed heavily as he tried to calm himself down and be more alert with the current situation. Someone was coming over, nearing Wooyoung with every step before it suddenly came to an halt.
It was awfully quiet and Wooyoung held in his breathe in fear of what is about to come next.
A breathy laugh broke the silence between them and Wooyoung knew instantly who it was. He felt his jaw tightening and hand forming into a fist.
"Where is Kyungmin?" He asked quietly, trying to keep himself as calm as possibly because right now he felt like he could at any moment start having a panic attack. However his question was completely ignored.
"Look at you, all powerless now, aren't you?" Choi said smugly and chuckled right after as if it was the most enjoyable sight he had seen in his life.
"Answer me!" He screamed at the old man and struggled in his chair again, aggressively pulling at the rope and ignoring the way they broke his skin open.
"You are quite impatient aren't you? Just like your father." He sighed and suddenly a pair of hands behind him were pulling his blindfolds off and it didn't take long to adjust to the lights. He frantically looked around the room to see if there was Kyungmin anywhere but he wasn't.
He had a smug smile on his face and stood there a few steps away from him, his arms folded in front of his chest.
"You looking for your baby brother?" He cooed at him mockingly and Wooyoung felt resentment rising inside him more than ever. "I'm sorry to tell you that he couldn't accompany us and our sweet talk. I'm not that cruel, I wanted his last hours to be peaceful instead of seeing his brother getting tortured."
Wooyoung felt the air leaving his lungs and his eyes burning, tears threatening to fall at any moment. So it is really happening, huh?
"Don't you dare lay a finger on him. I will kill you!" He threatened lowly, hot tears falling down his cheeks. However, it only caused the smile on the man's face to grow.
"I don't believe that is possible anymore but one can only dream right?" He shook his head with a sigh. Suddenly his smile fell and a dark, dangerous gaze met his own.
"You told Choi San about everything. You told him about me and our deal. You know what will happen now?"
Wooyoung didn't answer him, only staring at him with hatred and disgust. Suddenly Choi took steps froward to him and grabbed his collar in anger.
