"So how's anger management?"

Halfway to Vegas, everyone had begun to fall asleep. All except Mariah and LaMelo. So she decided to utilize this time to figure out what exactly was going on with him.

Melo- Well, seeing as we've been together in a confined space for this long and you haven't gotten hurt..I think it's going pretty well.

She rolled her eyes at his slight sarcasm. Or at least, she thought it was sarcasm. It was hard to tell at this point.

Mariah- Have you figured out why you get so angry yet?

That was her main question. His answer would determine wether or not she'd seriously take that three months into consideration.

Melo- Mhm. Figured it out in the third session.

Well damn, her and Diane didn't even start really talking until her fifth session. It was partially her fault, seeing as she thought Diane would snitch.

Mariah- So..what's the reason?

Melo- You.

He replied, now looking her in the eye.

Mariah- Me? The fuck did I do?

Melo- Do you remember when you smacked the fuck outta my chest during that JBA practice and took my phone after?

Mari couldn't help but snicker at that memory. She gained so many followers after that episode released, but then she remembered what happened when they got back.

Mariah- Absolutely. That was the highlight of my reality career.

Melo- Yeah..well the psychologist said that every time you make me the slightest bit upset, a small part of my brain replays that memory and it triggers the section responsible for anger. That anger stays there for up to an hour until my frontal lobe releases the guilty feeling, which is why the you know I love you is said after.

In a way, it kind of made sense to Mariah. But then she realized that there was something seriously wrong with him.

Mariah- So you're telling me..that you forreal have anger issues only towards me? After all this time you were telling the truth?

He nodded his head and Mari let out a "huh", as if she couldn't believe it.

Melo- Yeah. I know it sounds stupid. I didn't think I was right either.

Mariah- I mean, it would explain why you don't hit Ana cause I know she pisses you off. Same could be said for Ashley too.

Melo- It could. I have to keep going to my sessions figure out why it's only you, but I've been working on it. I'm starting to learn how to control myself around you.

Mariah- Oh really? So you wouldn't mind if I did this again?

Picking up her phone, she hurled it in his direction, smacking him in the face once again. Like last time, he wasn't prepared and her phone hit him in the nose.

Once LaMelo realized what Mariah had done, he felt himself get angry but then he remembered what Martin had told him. "Breathe in, Breathe out, think of a happy memory."

He was supposed to think of the happiest moment he had with her, which happened to be after the game where he slapped someone and Mari had gotten into an argument with Lavar on how it was self defense. Lavar didn't talk to her for two whole days and Melo loved the way she stood up for him.

Melo- How many times are you gonna throw that fucking brick at me?

He rubbed his nose and glared at her, annoyed she threw the phone.

Mariah- Oh shit..I thought I was gonna get hit.

The younger girl had her hands shielding her face ready for whatever impact was coming to her but it never came.

Melo- I told you I've been working on it.

Mariah- Yeah, I tend not to believe you anymore.

In that second Mariah couldn't be prouder. He was slowly, but surely becoming the LaMelo she once knew before all the bad happened.

BACK IN CHARLOTTE

A woman sat on her couch inside of her house, holding two glasses of wine and setting on down on the coaster.

Diane- Do you think I made the right choice by having her go down there with him?

?!- I'm not sure. Do you think I made the right choice by having him ask her to go with him?

Diane- I guess we'll see when they come back.

You might be wondering who this mystery man is, and it was Doctor Martin Ellores. LaMelo's anger management coach/Diane's husband.
