As Mariah was on her way back to the hotel she was staying the night in, she thought a lot about what'd happened at the Ball Estate. She'd come to a conclusion that she had been a tad bit extra.

So she found herself calling someone while she drove down the freeway.

?!- Hello?

For a couple seconds she stayed silent, not knowing what she wanted to say. So she let her heart take over.

Mariah- I'm sorry.

She heard a laugh on the other side of the phone.

?!- For what?

Mariah- For throwing my phone at your face, and everything else I said.

On the other side of the call, LaMelo smiled. She'd finally come to her senses, he thought.

Mariah- And you're right, I wouldn't be anything if it wasn't for you.

Melo- I forgive you, and I'm sorry for calling you all those names. But I really do love you. You know that, right baby?

That word made the driving girl blush. Her heart swelled with adoration for the boy.

Mariah- Yes, I know you didn't mean it, and I love you more, Melo.

For the first time since she'd come back into his life, Mariah called LaMelo by his name and not LaBitch, LaLiar, or LaCheater. He finally had full control over her heart again.

Melo- Where are you?

Mariah- On the way back to the hotel I'm at.

The older male had an idea.

Melo- I'm at Gelo's old place. Wanna get me and we can drive around, like the old times?

Mariah- What about Ana?

Melo- She's mad at me after what happened. So it's just me, Gelo, and his girl.

Memories of her and LaMelo driving around the streets of Los Angeles at night vividly played through her head before she completely got off the freeway, turning around.

Mariah- I'll be there in twenty.

Melo- Bet.

She hung up the call, and a smirk crawled out into the males face. Meanwhile, back at Gelo's house, Evoni stood in the master bedroom's bathroom, getting ready for bed.

Evoni- Is it just me who sees it..or is Melo manipulating that poor girl?

She asked, spitting out the toothpaste that was in her mouth from brushing her teeth. Gelo's face scrunched up and he raised an eyebrow.

Gelo- Manipulating who? Mari?

Evoni- Mhm.

Gelo- Yeah..it's just you. That's just how they are. They date, he finds a different girl, they break up, he gets with that girl and when it doesn't word out, he always ends up back with Mari.

By now, Evoni was looking at Gelo with her mouth wide open. She hadn't realized how fucked up the situation was.

Evoni- And..she's okay with that? Being a rebound?

Gelo- Yup. Been that way since 2016.

Evoni didn't think Gelo understood how fucked up everything he just said sounded. She couldn't believe this whole family normalized this.

Who knows what else happens between Mari and Melo, she thought. It was then, when Evoni decided she was gonna make it her job to get Mariah to realize the toxicity of her and Melo's relationship. Maybe she'll even leave him for good, if Evoni's lucky.
