Chapter Ten

||Mariah||

So, for the fourth year in a row the girls basketball team at Chino Hills has won the little high school playoffs, and have become number one in the U.S. The same goes for the AAU League that most of us were in.

I knew that other schools didn't want to play us anymore, because I guess we were too good for them. Oh well. It was fun. I had already gotten scholarships from LSU, Duke and Ohio wanting me to play for them. Plus WNBA Scouts, Well, one from the Los Angeles Sparks.

Iris- I can't wait until we graduate. No more damn pictures.

Destiny- Girl. The pictures won't stop.

At the moment, We were taking pictures with the trophy we had earned. Sydney and Destiny were two of the tallest people on our team. Both of them were damn near 6'0 and could dunk. We had nicknames for each other.

Mines was Bunny, because I could jump hella high and could halfway dunk. Everybody on the team knew how to dunk.

I happened to be the shortest, and was the only one who could make half/full court shots. Dmo had never seen me play because he was always busy. That made me kinda sad because nobody close for me except for my friends at school.

Camille- Wish I had scouts come to watch me. Mari you're hella lucky. I'd do anything to get into Duke.

It was also the day where the student athletes signed off to which colleges they decided to go too. O, Andre, Iris, Will, Chris and I were the only ones that got offers from Ucla. I knew that our school was going to be in the media for a couple days cause of it.

Melo was back for a couple days, and we decided to have a little kickback. The Jba boys were up here. Jaden was here, Kennedy, and a bunch of others. Even Jhay.

LaVar- I'm so proud of you guys. This year, all of my children will have graduated. We've come a long way. Melo's the most famous high school athlete, with almost five million on Instagram.

Yank- I'm proud of everybody. Especially Melo, since you decided to go back to school.

The Tv was on the news, so I decided to pay attention to what was playing.

?!- Welcome Back To Fox News. Chino Hills High School has become a hotspot for sports. The boys basketball team just won the title for number one in the state of California.

A video of the team playing in Vegas came on. The score was 120 to 95. I saw O, Chris, Will, Andre, and a couple others.

LaVar- The Balls cannot be stopped!

?!- However, The girl's varsity team was declared Number one in the United States. They've been getting complaints from other schools that they don't want to play them because they're too good.

Jhay- Well Damn. When I was there we weren't even that good. That says a lot.

Yank- The girl's team was never that good.

?!- It's not the team they're scared of, It's the four out of five starters they like to call the "Quadruple Threat". Combined, All four of them will raise hell under a roof.

A 3-D hologram came on, and I recognized it as Iris. Ayeee. It said her first and last name, height, and her nickname, which was Wheels.

?!- Number 5, Iris Cook is known for her speed.

A clip of Iris zooming down the court played and damn that girl was fast. Two girls were on next and they were tall as hell. Their names were Sydney and Destiny Wright. It said "Double Trouble". They had to be at least 6'2.

?!- The Twins are known for their dunking. But, the star of the team will surprise you.

Oh lord. That had to be the scariest thing I've seen today. If that came at me I'd probably cry.

The next hologram was a short girl. It typed out "Mariah Moore". Height was 5'2. Weight was 135, and her nickname was Bunny.

?!- Mariah, or Bunny, as they like to call her is well known across the globe for her full and half court shots, as well breaking ankles.

Well I'll be damned. I saw Mari on the court, making a girl fall and then took a shot from near the other teams basket, making it. My mouth hung low.

I ain't never seen no other high schooler do that. And it was a buzzer shot too?? After making the shot, girls on the team ran to her getting hype as hell.

Alan- Wait. Mari can actually play? I thought she just knew a lot.

Dmo- She had never told me about any game.

?!- We have Mark Kasey at Chino Hills High School for more news.

She smiled and the camera flipped to a guy in a gym that didn't look familiar at all. When did they get a remodel?

??!- Yes, I'm standing here in the newly remodeled gym with the entire basketball team from both genders.

The camera zoomed out from behind him and I saw Melo's old friends along with Mariah. Andre and Quan had their arms wrapped around her as she had a bag of gummy worms.

??!- Can you tell me, out of all of you guys, who had the most scholarships available?

He put the mic to Chris, who responded.

Chris- Definitely Mariah, she had like thirty. Some were from cheer, mostly basketball, and others cause she's smart.

??!- Oh wow. What were some of the schools who showed interest in you?

He put the mic near Mari, who had a BBB hoodie on.

Mariah- Uhh, UCLA, Duke, Spellman, Irvine...I mean we all got scholarships from some of the same schools.

??!- Which school did you choose?

Mariah- I'm still deciding.

Andre- We bouta shut shit down!!

Jaren- Class Of 2019!!

The gang got hype and started chanting.

Dmo- So this little girl wasn't gonna tell me she got all these damn offers.
