Azura's POV

"Morning Zura." Morgan Brian says as I walk into the team hotel after completing my daily morning run.

"Hey Moe Moe." I say as I take off my Beats earbuds that I use during my daily morning runs then I notice Moe and the ladies she's with are all dressed up nice.

Moe's with Tobin, Mal, Sonnett, Lindsey, Kelley, and a few others I haven't met yet or I can't remember their names.

"Do we have a team thing to get too?" I ask.

"No we're going to church." Mal Pugh says.

"Ah."

"We can wait if you'd like to go." Mal says.

"I'm not religious, but thank you for the invite." I say.

"It's never to late to learn about god." Mal says earning a chuckle from me.

"Told you she'd react like that." Tobin says as she rolls her eyes.

"What's funny?" Lindsey asks.

"Look up my wikipedia." I say as I put my earphones back on. "Then you'll know why I'm no longer religious."

"Told you." Tobin mumbles then she fist bumps me since I'm too sweaty to hug.

After I fist bump Tobin, I head to the elevator and ride it up to the floor we're staying on.

Once on our floor, I head to Adelaide and I's room, head inside the room, then I take a shower.

After my shower, I dry off and get changed into a fresh pair of boxers, one of my old New Zealand Rugby training tank tops, a pair of shorts, and my Birkenstocks.

Once I'm dressed, I put on my jewelry, grab my phone, wallet, and the book I'm reading then I head downstairs to eat lunch.

When I get downstairs to the lobby, I follow some of the other national team ladies to the team meeting and meal room then I head inside.

Once inside the team meeting and meal room, I set my stuff down at an empty table head over to where the food is then I get my lunch.

For lunch I'm having 2 salmon fillets, lemon roasted baby potatoes, lemon butter pasta, cherry juice, 2 of the BioSteel drinks, and a glass of water.

Once I have all my stuff for lunch, I sit down and start eating.

"How far'd you run today?" Cairo asks from the table next to me.

"26.2 miles." I say.

"You ran a fucking marathon?" Trinity Rodman asks.

"Mhmm." I say. "Every first day of a new month, I run a marathon distance."

Usually I run early in the morning from 6-7, but I overslept my alarm today.

Every other day I run, I run for an hour which is usually 11 miles.

I consistently run at a 5 minute and 26 second mile pace.

I've tried the training technique where you run slower, but for some reasons my body doesn't let me run slower than my normal pace so I just run at my normal race pace.

"What was your time?" Astrid asks

"2 hours 22 minutes and 21 seconds." I say as I open up my book then I eat my lunch while reading my book.

"Watcha reading?" Becky asks as she sits down next to me after I've finished all of my food.

"Rio Ferdinand's book Thinking Out Loud: Love, Grief and Being Mum and Dad." I say. "I thought'd it'd be a good thing to read considering what's been happening in my life in the past year."
