Azura's POV

"Axel and them just landed in LA." I say as I read my phone.

Axel and Alabama beat Clemson 42-20 in the Fiesta Bowl and in a couple of days they'll play Ohio State at SoFi for the national championship.

"Good." Adelaide says as she stops outside a house here in some neighborhood in the LA Area.

Once we're stopped, Adelaide looks at the house.

"We don't have to do this" I say.

"If we don't then my parents will look down on me more than they already do." Adelaide says.

We're going to meet Adelaide's parents tonight.

My agent Luna has warned me that Alex and Adelaide's parents openly favor Alex and they aren't a fan of me.

Luna couldn't tell if it was because I'm half black, because I'm a sex worker, or because I have a dick, but they definitely don't like me.

"Well if they get too bad then we can leave." I say.

Adelaide nods as she turns off the car then we get out and head up to the house.

As we get to the house, the front door opens to reveal my soulmate's twin.

"Hey" Alex says with a smile.

"Hey Alex." Adelaide and I say as we approach

"Are they here?" Adelaide asks as she hugs her twin.

"They are." Alex says.

"And?"

"It's gonna be a long night." Alex says as I hug her.

"Fuck." Adelaide says then we walk into the house.

Once in the house, I follow the two ladies until we reach two other ladies I've never met and their parents.

"Zu Zu these are my older sisters Jeni and Jeri." Adelaide says as she points to the ladies I've never met before. "Jeni and Jeri this is my soulmate Azura."

"Nice to meet you." I say as I shake Jeni and Jeri's hands.

"You too." Jeni and Jeri say.

"And Azura these are my parents Pam and Michael." Adelaide says then I shake their hands.

"Where's my granddaughter?" Adelaide's mom asks.

"Charlie's right there Mom." Alex says and points to Charlie playing on the floor.

"I mean Azura's daughter."

"Kehlani's not your granddaughter." I say.

This bitch must be smoking something.

"You are my daughters soulmate are you not?" Adelaide's mom asks.

"I am."

"Then that means Kehlani is my granddaughter."

"That's not how that works." I say. "And given how you treat Adelaide I'm not sure I want you in Kehlani's life."

"How we treat our dumb daughter is none of your buisness." Adelaide's Dad says as I feel Adelaide sort of hide behind me.

OH HELL NO.

IMMA FUCK YOU UP.

"How you treat MY soulmate is a thousand percent my buisness." I say.

"Not like it's a secret how you treat Adelaide." Alex says as I intertwine Adelaide and I's hands.

"What would you even know about raising children." Adelaide's mom says. "Your daughter's only two."
