Azura's POV
"Hey Azura?" Rose asks as Talia and I mess around on my MacBook.
"Yeah Rose?" I ask.
"Why do you think we have soulmates?" The Cincinnati native asks.
A lot of the team have been discussing stuff about soulmates today so this isn't a random question.
"Because the atoms we're made of were near the atoms of our soulmate and they've been searching the universe for each other for the past 13.8 billion years." I say
"Geez."
"There's no way you only had a 1.9 GPA in high school." Adrianna Franch says.
"I read a lot now." I say as I mess around on my MacBook. "I guess it's helped me pick up all the stuff I missed in school."
"Are you two ready?" Cairo asks as she comes into the living room of the massive Columbus Airbnb we're stayin in.
"Yeah." I say as Talia nods then I see the USWNT media start rolling.
Today, before we go to a local nature reserve, we're doing the Charity Match Draft.
Once all the camera's are on, Cairo intro's the draft and explains everything.
Basically Talia and get to draft from the other 44 players here to fill out our teams.
"...And Ladies anyone here has a chance of making it into the final 26 player squad list for the World Cup." Cairo says. "And I do mean anyone."
I'm still confused why there's 26 players allowed per squad at the World Cup.
"I guess us not playing means we're a lock?" I whisper.
"Guess so." Talia whispers as Cairo walks out of view of the camera.
"Hi people." I say as I look at the camera. "Welcome to the draft."
"The charities that the match and the auction will be benefitting is my foundation the Sofia Foundation which is a teenage Breast Cancer awareness and research foundation." Talia says. "And my team will be wearing pink jerseys."
"And the match and the auction will be benefitting my foundation the Nwigwe Foundation which is a childhood leukemia awareness and research foundation." I say. "And my team will be wearing Orange jerseys.
"And the keepers will be wearing gold jerseys because gold represents childhood cancer." Talia says.
"Once the game ends you'll be able to bid on our game worn jerseys, special boots if people are wearing them, and other stuff we've provided for the auction." I say.
Adelaide and I brought five things.
1. We each brought game worn Real Miami Jerseys in all three colors, pink, white, and black.
2. A weekend in Miami package so 4 people can come to a Real Miami game, sit in a suite for the game, and have dinner with us the day after the game.
3. Two tickets to a future game for whatever team drafts my brother.
4. I did a few drawings and paintings for people to bid on.
5. Adelaide put forward a brand new gaming PC for people to bid on.
"If you can't afford to bid on the auction that's 100 percent okay." Talia says.
"We will have a donation link on the National team Twitter if you'd like to donate, but if you can't that is perfectly fine." I say.
"Please don't spend more than you can afford." Talia says.
"I think that's all we need to cover so onto the draft?" I ask then everyone nods. "Um how do we decide who picks first?"
