Azura's POV
"Zura can you sign this?" Athena asks as she walks into the kitchen of our Miami home.
"What am I signing?" I ask as I chop up vegetables for tonight's dinner.
"Since it's a short week we're watching Schindler's List in history class this week and since it's rated R we have to have permission to watch it."
"Ah." I say. "Put it on my Mac and I'll sign it after dinner."
"Thank you." Athena says as I put the vegetables in the wok.
"They added another book?" I hear Raven ask as I cook dinner.
"No it's different to 50 Shades." Aurelia says.
"Azura is 50 Shades of Grey accurate?" Athena asks. "Like the BDSM stuff."
"Not even close." I say. "It's so vanilla, very dangerous, and isn't accurate about BDSM relationships."
"Dangerous?" Raven asks.
"The main dude repeatedly violates the boundaries of Anastasia and gets away with it because he's sort of good looking and rich." I say. "Also Anastasia was a fucking virgin in the beginning so how is she supposed to be making true consent-based choices when she's never even had vanilla sex before?"
"Having an actual emotional connection is a massive part of bondage scenes and play times." Adelaide says.
"Love and affection are very important parts of BDSM relationships." I say.
"Vanilla?" Nova asks.
"Real BDSM scenes and playtimes have sweat, spit, smudged makeup, and all sorts of things that the author and the movie left out." I say. "The 50 Shades Bondage stuff was light whipping then sex basically."
"Also vanilla sex is amazing, despite what the Grey's say." Adelaide says.
"What wasn't accurate about it?" Raven asks.
"24/7 Dom/Sub controlling relationships are super rare." I say. "Yes Adelaide is my submissive, but I don't control everything she does."
"The man in 50 Shades is a sadistic psychopath." Adelaide says. "He lacks empathy, he traps Anastasia by keeping his violent tendencies private, limiting Anastasia's availability of help and support from her friends and family through his nondisclosure agreement and through verbal and nonverbal intimidation, and attempts to convince Anastasia that she finds his punishments pleasurable even though she never seemed to like the punishments or any of the bdsm stuff."
"Dude is the antithesis of what good domme's are and strive to be." I say. "If I had a woman at my clubs act even an ounce of the way the man in 50 Shades does then she would be fired, kicked out, and probably arrested."
"And probably have their ass beat." Adelaide says.
"Mhmm." I say with a smile then I focus on cooking.
After 30 minutes of cooking, I take the wok off the stove and set it on a hot pad on the island then I open the rice cooker.
"Dinner's ready." I say.
"Ooh." Atlas says. "I love Cashew Chicken."
"You say that every time." Athena teases.
"Well it's true every time." Atlas says then everyone gets their food.
Once I have my food, I grab a soda then I join my family at the dinner table.
"While we're here." I say. "Let's go over the trip you're taking this weekend."
