Danielle's POV

We arrived at the practice space for All Time Low. There were 2 other cars parked outside which I guessed belonged to the other memebers. I was nervous and anxious and Alex could tell because he turned to face me and took my hands in his and looked down at me.

"Are you ok? You'll be fine trust me they won't hurt you. They're excited to meet you actually," he said in a calm, reassuring voice. I trusted him. He pulled his hands away and we both left the car. I walked toward the building with him. As we walked inside, I could feel a cold breeze coming from the A/C. It was refreshing since it was getting warmer outside. Alex walked up to 3 other guys.

One was tall and buff with tattoos covering his arm who answered to the name of "Zack". The other was shorter and had perfect teeth. The last one was lanky and was about the size of Alex and had black and blonde hair.

"Hey Alex, it's nice of you to show up. Now who's that?" they said refering to me.

I stepped forward,"I'm Danielle." I smiled a bit and they all walked towards me.

The one with perfect teeth spoke up. "Hi Danielle, I'm Rian. We heard all about you last night," he smiled showing off his perfect white teeth. He shook my hand and stepped back.

The one with black and blonde hair introduced himself as "Jack" and quickly walked over and hugged me tightly.

The last one introduced himself as "Zack." He also came over and hugged me. He looked sweet, but he was the quietest.

"Do you mind if I see your phone for a second?" He asked with a smile. I gave him my phone and he added his number to my contacts. "Just in case you need someone to talk to." He smiled softly at me then walked me back to Alex and the others.

"So, how about we go grab some lunch," suggested Alex already walking to the door. The others followed him but I stayed back with Zack for a bit.

"Hey is everything alright? You seem a bit down," he said his smile fading. He was concerned about me. Could he see it in my eyes?

"I just have a lot going on, but I guess I'll be fine. Thanks."

He didn't seem convinced but he took it and we started walking towards the cars. "Would you like to come with me?" he pointed toward his car. I looked at Alex who had been waiting for me, and he nodded in approval. I got into Zack's car and pulled out my phone. As usual, nobody sent me a text or called. I had no friends in Baltimore, no one to talk to; that is until I met All Time Low.

It felt like about 20 minutes until we stopped at a small restaurant. It looked old and run-down but I guess you can't always judge a book by it's cover.

We found a large booth that fit us all and everyone else ordered something to eat. I wasn't in the mood for food. I was still thinking about what Zack had said when I first met him. "Just in case you need someone to talk to."

"Hey Danielle, are you ok?" I heard Rian say. I looked up and noticed everyone was finished eating and looking at me with worried looks painted on their faces.

"Oh, um yeah," I hesitated.

After they paid, we left the restaurant. I left with Zack again. I guess I was looking forward to another silent ride back to the practice space.

Zack's POV

We were all talking when Alex walked in with a girl. The girl he told me about last night, only she didn't look as happy as he described her. We all introduced ourselves but I decided to give her my number just in case she needed someone. After everyone was introduced to this girl named Danielle, we went out to eat.

The car ride with her was silent. I wished I could talk to her but I didn't know what I could say without making things awkward. Plus Alex already liked her, you could see it in his eyes. He adored her.

Even when we were at the restaurant he couldn't keep his eyes off her. She didn't eat anything. She just sat there, obviously deep in thought. We all finished eating when Rian distracted her and a few minutes later we were off to the practice space.

"So, um, what city do you live in?" I asked trying to break the silence.

"Baltimore, although I lived in Toronto most of my life."

"Why did you move?"

"To try and meet new people, make new friends. That and the fact that I got kicked out of the house. It's a long story."

"Oh, well you're welcome to stay with any of us anytime you want."

"Thanks Zack, you're really sweet," she said giggling. She was gorgeous but I couldn't say that.

Finally we arrived at the practice space. We all agreed we were tired and headed seperate ways. I gave Danielle a quick hug and headed to the car with Jack. There was something about her that made her stick in my mind I just didn't know what.

Danielle's POV

"So, what do you think about them?" Alex said pulling out of the parking lot.

"They're all really great. Thanks so much for taking me to meet them."

"Good, I'm glad you like them. Where to tonight? My house or I can drop you off at your house?"

"I think I'll go home tonight. Thank you Alex, for being so nice to me. It means a lot," I looked up smiling at him. He smiled back with his perfect crooked smile.

It felt like not even 5 minutes passed and we were already at my house. We exchanged numbers and he hugged me and told me to call him if I needed anything. I walked into the house and ran upstairs to take a long shower.

After the shower, I pulled on sweats and my new Green Day shirt and put my hair in a messy bun and relaxed on the couch. It was already 8 pm. The day had flown by, I didn't even notice. I turned on the TV and slowly drifted off dreaming of the 4 guys that I now called my friends.
