Alex's POV
I was just watching a movie by myself waiting for Danielle to get here. There was a knock on the door so I answered it. A familiar face walked through the door.
"Hey Alex, haven't seen you in a while."
"Urm hi Lindsey. I think there was a reason for not talking." She was short, dark hair with hazel eyes. Also known as my ex.
"Well I was walking through the neighbourhood and decided to drop by. Mind if I stay for a bit?"
"Um sure?" I wasn't so sure about this but I knew she wouldn't leave even if I told her to. We sat on the couch together. She was... touchy. I slid over a bit more but she followed me. Before I knew it, she was on top of me. I didn't mind but Danielle. A part of me said,"Just one more minute," while the other said,"Push her off, kick her out." Next thing I knew, Danielle was at the door staring at us in shock. Tears filled her eyes as she backed into the door.
"Danielle, wait! I can explain!" I couldn't. She ran as fast as she could. I sat back down with my head in my hands. What did I just do to her? I heard a car leave the driveway as tear filled my eyes as well.
"Don't worry baby, you'll get through this," she said in a calming tone of voice, rubbing my back.
"Don't you dare touch me. Don't call me 'baby'. Because of you Danielle probably won't even look at me!" I yelled at her. I let out all anger on her because it was HER fault. I lost one of my best friends to her. God only knows where she's headed to now. I just hoped she was safe where ever she may be.
Danielle's POV
I woke up in Travis' arms on the We The Kings tour bus. By the brightness of the bus, I was guessing it was morning. Last night's events were still fresh in my mind. I felt tears well up in the corners of my eyes but I held them back. I looked up at Travis who was barely awake. I moved around to let him kniw that I wasn't asleep.
"Good morning," he said smiling a bit at me. "Are you alright? Do you need to talk about it?" I sat up and cuddled up in his arm putting my arms around his waist. "What happened? Is it too soon?" I needed to tell him at one point, might as well tell him now, right?
Not leaving out any details, I told him everything that happened as soon as I stepped out of the tour bus. By the end of the story, I found myself bawling my eyes out once again. He wiped my tears away and tried to comfort me.
"You're more than welcome to stay with us as long as you need to, okay?" He looked at me with tired eyes. I nodded but I was worried.
"Trav? Did you get any sleep?"
"Don't worry about me, I'm fine." He wasn't. He didn't get any sleep and it was probably my fault.
"Where are we by the way?"
"We'll be in Baltimore until Saturday because we have a few more shows to play." So a few more days here. Where Alex lived. Where there was a good chance I would have to face him again. Perfect.
Travis' POV
Truth is, I didn't get any sleep last night. I was worried about her. She needed someone right now and I was going to be that person. Her face was tear-stained and her makeup was smudged. She needed me. Her phone kept buzzing as she slept and I guessed that it was Alex. She woke up, sat up and curled up in my arms once more and told me everything that happened.
She looked upset that we were going to be in Baltimore until Saturday but I couldn't change that. It was only a few more days. I kept her close to my side as she cried into my chest. After a few more minutes, Hunter came into the back to check on us.
