The ending of tour came faster than I wanted it to. On the last day, all of the bands got together and had a huge bbq after the show. I would miss everyone. They made my life interesting in a way. All of the bands would be going their separate ways tomorrow morning and we wouldn't have much time to say a final goodbye in the morning. We had an early flight to Baltimore tomorrow which meant getting up early to make it to the airport on time.
Alex came up to me with a beer for both of us. He gave me a kiss on the cheek and put his arm around my waist. "A perfect end to a perfect tour." We walked around and talked to a few of the bands that we had gotten to know over the duration of the tour. I got everyones numbers and was certain that I would be texting them right when we landed in Baltimore. We talked, drank and had fun until it was time to go back to the buses. I said bye to Travis last, being sure to give him the longest hug.
"It's always great seeing you Danielle. Next time we're in Baltimore I'll text you for sure and we can hangout, cool?"
"Okay. I'll miss you Trav, text me once you land in LA."
"Deal," he smiled and gave me another long hug. This time, he kissed me. I pushed him off immediately and turned to run but there stood Alex, looking at me in disbelief.
"Alex, I swear- It's not what it looks-" He turned and walked away. I turned back to face Trav. "How could you? You know I just straightened things out between us." I slapped him hard and turned to run after Alex but I couldn't find him. I sat with my back against someones tour bus and dropped my head into my hands. I heard footsteps but didn't bother looking up to see who it was.
"Come on you. It's not safe out here by yourself," the voice said. I closed my eyes and let the stranger pick me up. What was the worst that could happen?

I fell asleep and don't remember being brought onto a bus. I opened my eyes slowly, my vision still blurry. I rolled out of the bunk. It was still dark but there was someone sitting in the front with a coffee cup in their hand, staring out the window. They turned their head to face me. "How are you doing? I found you outside the bus a few hours and I couldn't just leave you. You're Alex's girl, right? I've heard about you. I'm Patrick Stump. We're playing in this venue tomorrow and we arrived early then I saw you alone by the warped buses and it's not safe being alone that late at night."
I had no words. A random stranger carried me onto their bus because they didn't want anything to happen to me. What were the odds of that?
"I-I'm Danielle. Thank you, I don't know what to say. I can't thank you enough."
"It's not a problem. It's still pretty early, you can sleep a bit more or I can walk you back to your proper bus."
"I can walk back by myself, thanks though."
"I can't let you walk alone, it's not safe. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something happened to you and I weren't there to help you. Come."
I didn't resist. I let him walk me back to the bus. I unlocked the door and allowed Patrick to come in for a bit before he went back to his bus.
"DANIELLE. Where the hell were you?" It wasn't a relieved tone. Rian was furious. "Zack and I have been up all night looking for you. Alex came back without you and he was angry and by then we knew something was wrong. What the hell, you can't fucking do that to us."
"That's my fault. I'm sorry. I found her outside by herself and brought her back to my bus. I didn't touch her I promise. How are you doing, Rian?"
"Patrick? Is that you? I haven't seen you in ages!" He ran out and hugged Patrick. They knew each other? They caught up with each other then Patrick left after I thanked him again then I had to brace myself for the worst.
"If Patrick didn't find you, where do you think you'd be right now? We're in a terrible part of town and you should know better than to be by yourself." I felt like a child being lectured by their father. I didn't need this after what happened last night.
"Look, me and Alex had a fight last night and I crashed out by some buses when I went to go looking for him. I understand what I did wrong and you can lecture me later but can I go get some sleep now? It's been a rough night."
"Sure, goodnight Danielle." I walked away to an empty bunk and fell asleep instantly. I wasn't ready to ever wake up and something inside me hoped that I would never wake up because the next day would be hell.

I woke up and there was yelling on the bus. We were already at the airport and everyone was going crazy trying to find their stuff. I rolled out of my bunk and started to pack up whatever was mine in my duffle bag. There's not one day where the band could be organized without Flyzik and he was already gone on his flight back to Baltimore.
"GOOD MORNING DANIELLE. We missed you last night," said Jack, embracing me tightly. He was way too happy for 8 am but it cheered me up a bit. He let me go and I finished packing up everything I owned. We went through security with just enough time to grab a coffee before boarding the plane.
Rian and I went to go buy ourselves coffee from Starbucks then we went to go find the guys. "Look, sorry for being hard on you earlier. You're like my little sister and we thought something happened and I was worried. I'm just glad you're okay." Rian's words were comforting and his hug made me feel even better. He always knew what to say and that was one of the reasons I loved being with him whenever I had the chance. "I also talked to Zack and he said he's willing to sit with you if you're not ready to face Alex yet. Alex understands what happened though. Travis came by last night to explain." I guess this day would turn out better than expected.
We boarded the plane and took off a few minutes early. I made myself comfortable in Zack's arms and fell asleep. A few minutes later, someone shook me awake. We landed. Grabbing all of my belongings, I got off the plane and waited outside for the guys. Alex was the first to come out.
"Hey babe, I'm sorry. Trav explained what happened and I guess I just overreacted and I never want us to-" I cut him off with a kiss. It was too much and it wasn't even his fault.
"I love you Alex Gaskarth. No matter what, I'll always love you. Forever."
