I've Got The Guts To Say Anything

The last few weeks have been hell although Alex promised not to leave me no matter what. I was happy to have support from him but how long after the baby was born would he stay? He seemed upset at first but he claims to have accepted it by now. The nausea passed after a few weeks but I was due in 7 months. I needed to find somewhere to live because I was certain I wouldn't be able to live with Alex. I didn't want to risk it.

I sat on the couch with my laptop and started searching for condos in Baltimore. There were so many but they were all so expensive and I could never afford that with the part time job I had now.

"Whatcha looking for?" Alex came and sat beside me on the couch. "Condos?" He looked at me with a confused look. "What for?"

I sighed. "Once the baby is born I plan on moving out. There's no point in staying here and bothering you with a baby."

"It's not a bother Danielle. It's my kid anyways, shouldn't I get to be a father to it? I want to be in my kid's life. Look Danielle, that reaction in the hospital... it was just a shock. I WANT to be there for the baby and for you." He kissed the top of my head, moved the laptop and wrapped his arms around me. "I have a meeting with the band tonight? Wanna come? We can tell them then if you want to," he said putting his hand on my stomach.

"Sure," I said. "It might be good to get out of the house for a bit."

He smiled. "Good. We leave in the next hour." He got up to get ready. I followed him up the stairs to our room. Climbing stairs wasn't getting any easier and I was scared to get any bigger. I tried to pull on a pair of jeans but they barely fit. Was I already growing that much? I sighed and pulled them off.

Alex laughed. "Take these," he said, tossing me a pair of his sweat pants. "We'll go shopping for you tomorrow." I smiled and pulled on his sweat pants.

"Follow me," he said once I was done getting dressed. He took my hand and pulled me into the guest bedroom next door except the room was empty. The bed was gone along with the rest of the furniture and replaced with a crib. "This is going to be for the baby." I looked up at him and smiled. "Hopefully we can start decorating once we figure out if it's a girl or boy."

"Thank you Alex. It means a lot to me." I wrapped my arms and gave him a kiss. "Now we're going to be late. We better get going."

We left the house and went to Jack's house where they were going to be meeting. We knocked on the door and it wasn't Jack's face we greeted. It was Jenn, the girl Jack met on tour. "It's so nice seeing you guys again! Come in!" she said opening the door wider to let us in. We walked into the kitchen to see that the rest of the band was already there. They all got up from the kitchen table to give hugs and we took our seat.

Alex's POV

"So we just finished with Warped but there's a high demand to go back to Europe. We're thinking of starting a European tour in the next 6 months, so that puts us in February, and if everything goes as planned, it should be about 2 months long, so that puts us in around April, but we're not 100% sure yet," said Flyzik. I looked at Danielle who was beside me. She looked up at me with worried eyes. I guess this was the time to say something to them.

"Next 6 months? Can't we do it next year? Maybe we can work on our new album this year and later on next year we can tour everywhere with new songs. I mean we have to start the album sometime this year so why not do it now?" Everyone looked at me with confused looks.

"You're passing up the best European beer to start the album?" said Jack. Everyone laughed.

"Not passing up, just delaying it. I just think now's not the time for this."
