"Ok thanks so much, I'll see you early tomorrow morning!" I hung up the phone smiling like an idiot. HMV just called me telling me I got the job and I would be starting tomorrow morning. I usually wasn't excited to work but there was something about HMV that got me excited.
Today was a day to myself so basically it consisted of me going for a walk or sitting on the couch being lazy. I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood and enjoy the warm air. It was relaxing and I haven't done it for so long. It gave me some time to think about everything that was going on at the time.
About mid-walk, I saw Zack going for his daily run. "Hey Danielle! How are you doing?"
His face was red from the heat and he was shirtless. "Not bad, you?"
"Pretty good. Wanna come for a run with me?"
"Only if I can go home and change first." I was wearing jeans and converse which weren't the best things to go running in.
"Sure, hop on my back I'll carry you." I giggled and did what he said. We got to my house in a few short minutes. I changed into shorts and a tank top and grabbed my running shoes and a bottle of water.
"So we'll go around the park and back down my place and I'll drop you off at your place or you can come back to my house?"
"We'll see how I feel. I haven't gone for a run in ages and I don't know how long I'll last." He laughed and we started lightly jogging and talking about things that happened in the last few days since tour ended.
"So I got a job at HMV, they called me this morning!"
"Wow that's so great! I'm happy for you!" We got back to his house when I decided I couldn't walk anymore. He invited me in and we both took a seat on the couch.
"What have you been up to?" I smiled and looked at him.
"Hanging around here basically with a friend or working out. Not much has been going on." He looked down at his feet. Something was on his mind, I could tell.
"Which friend?" I bit my lip. Alex was coming over with Jack frequently and Rian was with Cass ever since we got back and the crew stayed at home catching up on sleep and hanging out with their family. I never saw Zack with anyone else.
"Oh uh just someone I met a while ago. It's not important." Weird, usually Zack told me everything. I put my hand on his leg and looked into his green eyes.
"Zack, you can tell me."
Zack's POV
"Zack, you can tell me."
I didn't know how to say it. I was seeing this girl I met a while ago. At the same time I sort of had feelings for Danielle so I couldn't tell her. Or maybe telling her would help me get over her since her and Alex are together.
"Umm," I looked down avoiding eye contact with her. "I've been seeing this girl I've known for a while-"
"Zack that's great! How long have you been dating?!" She smiled her perfect smile, her beautiful eyes looking directly into mine. I smiled awkwardly and looked down again.
"Zack? What's wrong?"
"What? Nothing. Uhh we've been dating for a few days. Ever since we got home from tour we've been getting together more often." She didn't look convinced that I was fine, but she looked happy and it wasn't just a fake smile. She was actually happy for once and as long as she was happy, I was happy.
"That's amazing! I'm happy for you," she smiled her perfect smile and gave me a small hug after announcing that she had to go.
"Yeah maybe you can meet her soon." To be honest, I didn't want them to meet. I was worried something would happen and they wouldn't like each other and I could never be around Danielle again. I took a shower to clear my thoughts. The hot water felt good, even after a long run.
