"I can't believe you made me sing," I said, somewhat upset that he got that out of me.
"Come on, why do you think you're so bad! You're better than a lot of people I know."
"Sure, whatever." I rolled my eyes jokingly as I took a seat on the couch. Alex took a seat beside me and put his arm around me.
"So anyways, we're having a hometown show in the next few days, I was wondering if you wanted to come?"
"Maybe," I rested my head on his arm.
"That better mean yes," he laughed. His laugh was so cute I couldn't help but laugh as well.
"It WOULD be good for me to get out for a bit, I guess I'll come."
"Good," he rested his head on mine. "You're staying here for the night right?"
"If it's ok with you."
"Do you have a change of clothes?"
"No, can I go pick something up from home?"
"Of course, let's go."
I got into Alex's car and we drove off to my house. Alex plugged in his phone and started playing Good To You by Marianas Trench.
"If this is a way to make me sing, it won't work."
"I'll make you don't worry."
Everyone's around, no words are coming now.
And I can't find my breath, can we just say the rest with no sound.
And I know this isn't enough, I still don't measure up.
And I'm not prepared, sorry is never there when you need it.
And now I do want you know I'll hold you up above everyone.
And I do want you know I think you'd be good to me,
And I'd be so good to you.
I would."Your turn."
"No"
"For me?" he pouted until I finally began to sing.
Thought I saw a sign, somewhere between the lines.
Maybe it's me, maybe I only see, what I want.
Or I still have your letter, just got caught between
Someone I just invented, and who I really am
and who I've become.
And I do want you know I'll hold you up above everyone.
And I do want you know I think you'd be good to me
And I'd be so good to you.
Whoa. Whoa. Whoa.
I can't be without you.
Whoa. Whoa. Whoa.
Yeah....
I would.
And I do want you know I'll hold you up above everyone.
And I do want you know I think you'd be good to me
And I'd be so good to you.
I'd be good to you,
I'd be good to you,
I'd be good to you,
I'd be so good to you.
I'd be good to you,
I'd be good to you,
I'd be good to you,
I'd be so good to you."Alex always wins!" he yelled victoriously.
"Yeah, yeah whatever," I groaned. At that minute we pulled into my driveway. I quickly ran into my house and grabbed everything I needed. I finished about 20 minutes after and I quickly made my way into Alex's car again.
"Ready to go?"
"Mmmhhmm."
"Good. So what do you want to do tonight? We can go out or we can stay at home and watch movies?"
"Anything is good for me."
"So if we sat down and did nothing at all you would be ok with it?"
"If you were ok with it."
"I'd be ok with it only if you're with me." I could feel my face turning 10 shades of red. Good thing it was dark. We pulled into the driveway of Alex's house and walked through the door to see someone sitting on the couch waiting for our arrival.
Alex's POV
Danielle and I had just come back from Danielle's place and we walked through the door to find someone had already beat us here.
"Danielle, listen to me, go outside and don't come in until I come to get you. I'll handle this," I whispered into her ear quietly so the person couldn't hear me.
"But Alex, who is it?" her voice was shaky.
"I wish I could tell you but I have no clue, now go." She ran out of the house into my car."Who are you and why are you here?" The person looked back and got up from the couch. I slowly started backing up into the door. The person kept walking towards me. I couldn't see a thing, the house was pitch black. "I love you Danielle," I said under my breath as I closed my eyes and waited for the worst to be over.
"Dude, why the fuck are you backing into the door?" said a familiar voice.
"Damn it Rian you scared the living shit out of me!" Rian started laughing hard while I turned on the lights. I opened the door and motioned for Danielle to come back inside. She came back in and started laughing so hard that she fell to the floor.
"How did you get into my house and why were all of the lights off?" I asked angrily.
"You have the key hidden in the plant, you told me the day you got the house. And Cassadee wanted to hide to surprise you because we thought we were all going to watch a movie together so since you weren't home we decided to scare you a bit." He continued to laugh.
"Where is she though?" Just as I said it, Cassadee turned the corner. "Riiigggghhhttt, now I remember, we were supposed to all go out or watch a movie together. We made plans earlier today when Zack called to tell me you were coming over. I forgot to tell you Danielle, sorry for the scare," I laughed.
"Hi, you must be Danielle, I'm Cassadee," she said to Danielle hugging her. "I've heard a lot about you from the guys. It's good to finally meet you." Danielle smiled back at her.
"Nice to meet you too."
"So are we just going to stand here or are we going to watch a movie?" I announced. We all settled down and found a movie to watch. We took our seats on the floor and watched Home Alone. We watched this movie a thousand times because of Jack but we thought it would be awesome to watch it together. We could see Cass and Rian holding hands and sneaking a kiss every few minutes. I only wished Danielle and I were like them; a happy couple, but I knew she would never like me like that. We were just friends, nothing more than friends. Once again she rested her head on my arm so I decided to put my arm around her waist. I could see she started smiling which made me smile. We were just friends and nothing more.
We watched every single Home Alone movie, but it was fun being with friends. When we finished every movie, Rian and Cassadee decided to head home. It was late and you could tell Danielle was exhausted.
"Do you want to go to bed now?" She nodded so we both started walking upstairs. I didn't even realize how exhausted I was.
"Goodnight," I said as we got to her room, "I'll see you tomorrow morning." I hugged her tightly and kissed her forehead.
"Goodnight Alex, I had a fun time with you tonight. Thanks for everything."
"It's not a problem." I walked off to my room and slid under the covers. Tonight was without a doubt, one of the best nights with her. Maybe tomorrow would bring something better, just maybe.
