what if nancy caught robin and vicky making out instead of will, after holding back feelings for robin since they've met?

FIRST S5 ONESHOT BABAAAAAYYYYYY

Robin smiled, looking deeply into Vickie's eyes as they resumed their make out session, adjusting to their newfound position against the wall. This is usually how things go. They sneak around, and then once the red head and Robin can catch some alone time, well... The rest is history.

But not this time.

This time, Robin wouldn't be able to cover up the boiling feelings in her chest that she felt for Nancy by kissing some other girl.

This time, the truth would come out. Whether Robin wanted it to or not.

Robins hands had began to ruthlessly explore Vickie's waist. Their make out was messy, yet passionless all at the same time. There was no true romance, no yearning. Only a desire rooted deep within the brunette to be with another.

The worst type of make out you could have with a person.

Robin opened her eyes for a brief moment, meeting the unexpected and shocked gaze of Nancy Wheeler at the doorway. Following a short little gasp, in one brief moment, suddenly Robin and Vickie were what felt like miles apart from where they had just been.

"Is.. Everything okay?" Vickie asked, pursing her lips. Robin sighed, feeling a weight grow in her stomach. "I- I'm sorry.. Just- one second." She replied, leaving the room in an attempt of following Nancy.

But when she had deeply searched, Nance was already gone.

shit.

...

As the days went by, Robin was finding it harder and harder to get time independently with Nancy. The first assumption was, naturally, that it was because of the chaos that they were enduring. Never did it cross Robin's mind that Nancy may be avoiding her.

Until now, when Robin finds herself finally alone with the short, curly headed girl. The two were at Nancy's, tucked away into the girls pretty pink bedroom. It was quiet, as an undeniable tension flowed through the air and kept Robin in a chokehold so tight that she couldn't stand it anymore; she needed to say something.

"Nancy, were you at the um.. The hospital the other day?" Robin asks, looking over to Nancy.

Nance turns her head over gently, stopping her task of organizing her vanity drawer to look at Robin; who was sat on Nancy's bed. "Is this what you wanted to hang out for in the middle of all this chaos?" Nancy had a solemn look in her eyes as she spoke. "I was wondering if you were ever going to actually ask me about it, actually."

That was all Robin needed to hear in order to become a flustered, over explanatory mess.

"So you were?"

Nancy nodded, biting down on her lip and looking to the floor before regaining her footing and shifting her gaze upward once more. "Oh, Nancy. Listen, Vickie and I- there's- we're... We're not a couple. I mean, we tried! Sure. But.. She and I- we- Oh, and I really didn't want you to even find out this way but I-"
"Robin, Robin!" Nancy interrupted, locking eyes with the radio show host. "I don't care that you're.. You know.. It's- it's fine." She reassured, remembering all the moments they've shared together the last year. How close they've gotten. Nancy had this inescapable dread in her chest, knowing that she couldn't hide how she felt from Robin. She didn't know if it was right.. But she knew she loved her. Was it possible that she wanted something so bad, that she couldn't even have?

"I- Thank you, Nance.." Robin smiled, looking down to the vanity's surface and reaching for Nancy's hand. "Nancy.. I just think that it's really important that you know.. That she and I are not a couple. At all. We just- kiss sometimes."

Nancy's heart fluttered at the touch of Robin's hand on her own. She closed her eyes tightly for a moment before reopening them; just to get stuck  once more on those gorgeous blue eyes. "Kiss.. Sometimes? What does that even mean- yo-you don't owe me an explanation for your love life, it's seriously okay an-"
"But I do. I do Nancy because of all people in this world to see that, I'm so upset that it was you."

Nancy's face grew shocked for a moment. "What do you mean?" She asked, feeling Robin's thumb begin to rub small, gentle circles on her hand. "I mean.." Robin sighed. "I mean that I would risk losing any of our friends. Any of them. Besides maybe Steve- but he already knows so- ANYWAYS! Nancy I just- I would never even want to chance losing you." Admitted Robin as she shifted her position quickly. She was hot, sweaty, anxious.

"I'm going to be honest, you're so hard to read sometimes and it kills me." Robin continues. "I have had no clue if you'd accept me or shun me. But I love- I- I care about you too much for you to shun me. I want to be apart of your life. I- I don't know what's about to go down. I'm.. I'm scared. But I don't want to go through it without you. You've become the only priss I know to actually listen to me, to understand me. That's why I got with Vickie. I wanted to conceal my feelings for you because I know you'll never-"
"For as smart, and as observant as you are, you should know better than to know that I would ever want to shun you." Nancy replies, sitting up out of her vanity chair; looking down at Robin.

"Because, Rob.." Nancy starts, taking the floor to communicate. "I know that.. Some people say it's wrong. And I don't know how or why.. But the influence you have on me is.. Ridiculous, honestly. From the moment I've met you, you've stood out. You're vibrant, outgoing... And I can genuinely say that I love you. I love you, Robin." She admits, taking a seat on her heavily cushioned bed alongside Rob.

"I- you do?"

"Yes, I do."

"I.. I love you too.." Robin replies, feeling tears begin to form in her eyes. This didn't feel real. How did she manage to get Nancy Wheeler to fall for her, of all people? How did she strike gold like that?!

"But I won't do this if you're seeing Vickie, Robin." Nancy adds, inhaling deeply. "I saw you two, don't forget that."

"She knows I love you Nancy. That's why things couldn't work out. Because I looked in her eyes and all I wanted was to look into yours. She knows that. What you saw was just... Something we've adjusted to. But we're both not- we can't. If anything she'd probably be happy I finally got with you. Look- you know when you're like- in middle school.. And you want to practice kissing so sometimes you'll practice with your best friend or something?"

Nancy nods, taking in Robin's words before smiling. "Yeah, actually I do know how that feels." (Barb reference.)

"That's it, that's literally it and all that's between us." Robin explains, turning to face Nancy. Which, of course, Nancy followed the action a few moments later. "You really mean everything you've said?" Robin asks, pursing her lips.

"Yes. I seriously do."  Nancy whispers, looking lovingly into Robins eyes, causing Robin's heart to ache. "Because- I feel like this could be complex, because sometimes I'm complex.. and I-"

Nancy rolled her eyes, leaning in and kissing Robin gently. A kiss that they've both anticipated for a long time.

"We will figure it out. Us, and everything that the world will try to throw at us."

"So.. Will you be my girlfriend..?"Robin asks, her face lighting up. It was sweet, seeing how in love she really was.

"Yes!" Nancy replied, quickly feeling Robin's arms around her waist in a sudden motion following her reply; as she was pulled down onto her bed in a tight cuddle.

They were going to get through this, together.
